I am a former Lipscomb student. I spent 4 years there, but did not graduate from the school. There are some exceptions to the things I will say, but ,over all, this was my experience. In my first year, I had one too many antisemitic remarks made too my face, and when brought up to faculty no one was punished. Amongst the students it is VERY obvious that if you are different or poor, you are weird. I spent most of my lunches roaming the halls or sitting in the bathroom. They pride themselves on inclusivity and respect, but I felt ostracized for four years. Many of the people in my graduating class felt the same. Not to mention, they use chapel like it’s a game show or recess! We had a guy literally stand on stage and tell us to “do drugs to find out they’re bad the hard way”!!! The Faculty and staff are very culty!! No respect for privacy. I had too many of my classmates asking about family matters that I never told them. Yep! Teachers at lipscomb love gossiping to students ABOUT students. I heard more gossip from the teachers than students, it was absolutely disgusting. The “relationships” between teachers and students is so absurd. Good teachers get walked on and used, while creepy men get hired to teach young women. I overheard the choral instructor talking about his “carnal urges”. DISGUSTING! In my senior year, My friend and I were chased down the hallway by huge football players, while they shouted slurs at us. They got a day of detention… As a smaller woman, I felt unsafe and they did nothing except tell me that they saw what happened. During this time, I needed extra help to graduate (I had a lot of personal issues popping up all year). I was unable to spend 7+ hours in school that year, because I was trying to finish high school while fully independent. There was zero empathy. In fact, the only shred of help they gave me, turned out to be a scheme for $500! I withdrew and got my diploma at a different school(sooo much better!!). When I withdrew, I had told no one, but all of my classmates somehow knew. When I asked why they knew, they all gave me the names of the same students who gossiped with teachers. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR CHILDREN!! [I left myself anonymous, because that school genuinely left me with nothing but fear.]

My children transferred to Harvest this year. It was a smooth transition. They truly enjoy their teachers and school. I'm amazed at how they are learning.

Bella Citta School Rating: 2/10 Overview: Having had my daughter attend kindergarten and 1st grade at Bella Citta, I’ve encountered multiple issues that have significantly impacted our experience. Lice Infestation: A year ago, my daughter was infected with lice. Despite notifying the teacher, I received no information about the issue or any warning for parents to check their children. Months later, I came across a Ring camera post where a parent warned the 1st-grade parents to check their kids for lice. While waiting for her bus in the walker’s area, my daughter overheard a teacher advising another parent to check her child for lice and mentioned that informing parents about lice is against the school’s rules. This lack of transparency and the school’s policy on lice is concerning. Principal’s Arbitrary Rules: The principal seems to create rules without considering the students’ or teachers’ needs. Notably, he canceled both the Halloween and Valentine’s Day parties. Furthermore, he introduced a $2 “dress down” fee for Fridays without providing any information on where the money goes. Inconsistent Policy Implementation: Just before the start of the school year, the principal enforced a new policy requiring all students to wear “Bella Citta” t-shirts. Despite ordering the t-shirt during orientation day, I didn’t receive it until two months later. Several teachers at the school are unhappy with the principal’s decisions and lack of communication. Some have already left, and others are considering leaving, stating that he has “ghosted” them. Recommendation: To all parents considering enrolling their children at Bella Citta, I strongly advise against it. There are several better schools in the area with more supportive environments. I personally know parents who have transferred their children to other schools in the neighborhood and have had a much better experience.

Our sons both go here. One in 1st and one in PreSchool. We are so blessed by the care and attention they get at the school. Both boys are learning and thriving in a safe and supportive environment. The community at this school really feels like a family and it is one of the most affordable private educations available. Highly recommend it

Do not work here! Environment is very toxic and administration is unqualified, avoidant, and treats students differently.

The current principal is in no way qualified to oversee any child who struggles with a learning disability. There are numerous instances of open discrimination, deprivation of valuable classroom time, zero accountability, and consistent victim blaming. There is an outright refusal to acknowledge the adults in the school set the tone for kids who simply learn differently, instead choosing to engage in a years long power struggle over the need to be right, rather than the need to advocate for all children and their right to a fair and equitable educational experience. I have 2 other children enrolled who do not have those challenges and they have, thus far, had a good experience there.

The IEP program here is a joke The schools teachers have no idea on how to handle kids with ADHD, autism etc They are very incompetent at meetings and im the classroom when situations arise and do not communicate with the students parents They will say your kids is doing something defiant but fail to acknowledge the IEP in place. They need more training as does the entire staff to restructure their system... They have had many complaints from parents from outside academies about IEP's special education etc All I can say is be weary

TDMS is a rural community school with dedicated teachers and administrators. Students have an abundance of opportunities for the resources available, including: robotics, digital media, garden club, mural club, homework club, and more for after school involvement.

Moving from IUSD to SUSD was a big question mark for us. Ever since we've been here, we absolutely love everything about this school—the principal, office staff, counselors, sports, and more. I feel like IUSD is overrated, and other districts also have a lot to offer. This school is well-organized, and the counselors, principal, and other staff know what they're doing. There's a clear plan in place, and there's no need to say it's well-planned. So far, we love all the teachers, with just one little exception. The communication between parents and school is awesome too.

Not really a great school for academics. Has absolutely almost no AP courses. Good basketball team though.

We have been with Harvest since our child started kindergarten and they are finishing up fifth grade already. Harvest is a great school with outstanding teachers and staff!! It is evident that the staff has a true heart for the students and their families. We love the school and some of the new opportunities, but having said that we do have concerns over the continuing growth of the school as a whole and the increasing class size. The strain we have seen this having on the teachers and on the children as they get less personalized time is a huge negative despite the ‘bigger and better’ opportunities the school is offering now.

The parent community is very involved at this school and the teachers are top notch! Staff are welcoming and try to match new students with the best classroom for their personality.

This school is not diverse and it’s sad. My family had an horrible experience at this school and until this day I am traumatized. My daughter was the only black girl in the 3rd grade. She experienced bullying from staff’s and students. Staff would take pictures of her while on punishment and send it to other staff members. Principal did nothing but asked staff to delete and after they deleted had that staff member go to the police department and show them their phone. Teachers in the classroom would punish my child for every little thing she did. To the point where the students started to watch her and tell the staff and teacher everything she does. When my daughter reported other students calling her names she was told by teachers “mind her business”. The last three days of school three different boys students attacked her each day and the school did nothing. We had to remove my child from the school. THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE FOR BLACK CHILDREN.
