Sacred Heart is really nice. It provides a friendly, family style, positive environment. We have found it a pleasant contrast to the increasingly bureaucratic and numbers-driven public school system, which is more and more absorbed by various internal and external battles unrelated to teaching or learning. At Sacred Heart, the welfare of the children is still the central concern. The instruction is old fashioned and at times a bit dull; don't expect anything particularly creative or especially interesting academically. But the state mandated curriculum is covered thoroughly in a disciplined and straightforward manner, and that is a good deal in this age of dubious pedagogical experiments. Another important advantage of Sacred Heart is that your child will be going to school with an especially nice group of children who are, in particular, very welcoming to newcomers. The children function like siblings in an extended family, and there is no cliquishness.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
