The teachers and faculty go to every extreme to help children love learning.
Inverness is terrific! The staff even seems to know all the kids names-it's amazing! It's like family there. I could not wish for a school any better.
Inverness Elementary rocks! My son attended IES from K5- 3rd grade and we were so happy to have the priviledge to experience such a fine school! I actually moved into the community so that he could be a part of this school. The teachers are fabulous and very caring toward the students ...my child looked forward to going to school each and every day! The classes are a good ratio for student/teacher and the homework assignments are right no target. The early years are critical for developing the small minds and Inverness does that hands down! The Fergusons
This school is poorly staffed by smart mouth teachers who only seem to be there to collect a paycheck. My child will definitely not be attending this school next year. The teachers give too much busy work and not enough personal attention. What a let down big time!
Inverness is a high quality school. The children are happy, the parents are HIGHLY involved, and the teachers are qualified, loving, and energetic.
Patsy Scott teaches 1st grade at Inverness Elem. & it absolutely does not get better than her anywhere! She is the most structured, academic, caring teacher and individual. Anyone lucky enough to have their child placed in her class, should consider themselves more than privileged. She is the one all teachers should obtain mentoring from.
Having moved in the middle of my daughters Kindergarten year, I was worried about the transition for her. The teachers helped her to feel welcome and adjust very quickly to her new school. This girl that did not like school before LOVES going to school every day here. She was behind the other kids coming from a school that did not have full time K classes but caught up in no time. We love this school and the teachers!
Exceptional teachers in all grades. Very concerned about individual students. Great Special Education program. Involved and caring prinicipal and staff. I've been very pleased and chose this area to live in because of this school.
Inverness Elemnetary School, overall, is a child friendly facility. However, the faculty and staff do not seem to support one another. Faculty involment in school activities is minimal. Many teachers were not at Open House night. There is a wide range of teaching abilities at Inverness. There is not the consistency among faculty that one would expect from a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Much of this may be due to the school's administration. There has been many instances of micommunication between faculty and Administration that directly effects students and families. The school prides itself on being a great 'private' public school. In the same regard they tend to make up their own rules on basic operation matters. Again inconstency stemming from administration. Parents need to be involved and known in order to ensure their child is reaching their full potential, is being challeged on all levels and recieving more than testing basics.
The school has some very good teachers, Paterson in K, Scott in 1st ect. But it also has some teachers who do not focus in on the basics.
