I have 2 children at Hilltop. They have both excelled academically and socially since they have been there. The teachers are wonderful and their teaching skills are great. We are lucky we have found such a wonderful school for our children. The teachers at Hilltop do not hold any students learning capabilities back. If your child is in 1st grade and can do 3rd grade math- he will do it, so your child's learning opportunities are limitless. Also if your child needs extra help in a subject, the teachers make sure the extra attention is given. The teachers are very open and communicate well with the parents. The principal at Hilltop is a terrific leader and has guided the school in a growing positive direction. I really can't say enough positive things about Hilltop - there are too many to mention.

I have visited Hilltop two or three times and my last visit was for a period of three hours where I observed four classrooms and found the teacers to be friendly and very interactive with the students. There was a definite feeling of learning and as I have experienced Montessori teaching in other States this school was performing at good to excellent levels. I have two grandchildren in the school and I am very satisfied with their progress in comparing to the progress their parents made when they were in Montessori school in another State.

The students were enthusiastic and very involved in their studies. The teachers were obviously very well prepared for the lessons presented and interacted extremely well with all of the students.

My sons have attended this school for a total of six years. My children love school which is wonderful. Many of their friends, that attend other schools, do not like school. I was very impressed with my oldest son's SAT scores. I love that Spanish is offered everyday. The teachers are great and the children are taught to respect one another. My favorite part about Hilltop is the individualized workplans. You can't put a price on a child being able to work at his or her own pace.

I found the environment to be cold and sterile. Teachers were unfriendly and cold. There is a lack of diversity.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
