I have been disappointed in the school in the last 3 or 4 years. In my opinion, there is not adequate discipline by the administration and teachers can not deal with students who are a problem. The teachers can not deal with the problem because they are not supported from the office administration. It seems that kids who have behavior problems are often petted. I think the intention is good because the administration clearly rules out of a compassionate heart but this is not solving the problem. These kids with behavior problems are a challenge to the entire school and the principal and vice principal should get a handle on these situations instead of enabling children and excusing them because of a poor home environment. Elvin Hill is creating little monsters who get a rude awakening when the go to the Middle School.

Elvin Hill is a small community school. It is like one big familly. The standards are very high as the teachers strive to be the best that they can be. There is an atmosphere of acceptance and academic excellance that compell all childreen to reach their maxium potential.
