Marengo high school is a very good school.. they learn and have fun all at the same time.. some people think that its not good.. but other people consider it as a relaxation place where you can learn and be relaxed and not stressed out... i love those PANTHERS...
Marengo High is a great school that doesn't get the credit that it deserves. I attended Marengo 4th-12th. I have recently graduated in May of 2008 and now I'm attending Alabama State University. There are some great teachers there that really prepares you for college. I can honestly say that I feel confident in the things that I have learn at Marengo. LaKesia Eirby Class of 2008
I attended Marengo High from K-12th grade. MHS has a wonderful faculty. They take the time out to tutor students during and after school ours for graduation exit exam, classes, SAT 9, and ACT. MHS has the best secondary math and english teachers I know. The school is small, but has a great family feel. Parents have become more involved. More academic activities, like math and science clubs, have been added to the school to enhance the students education. If it was not for me being in the math and science club, I would not have pursued a degree in engineering. -Class of '99
Hey I attended Marengo from 1985 - 1998 and continued my education at the University of West Alabama until 2003. I am currently pursuing my masters in education at UWA. I just would like to say I enjoyed my years at Marengo and I can honestly say I received a good education. If anyone looks at Marengo Alumni, they will see that we hold many degrees from associates, bachelors, masters, and even doctoral. Now how can this not be a good school to let your children attend. However, don't forget learning starts at home.
I attended Marengo from grade school to completion of the 12th. I love Marengo then and now. If I had kids they two would attend Marengo. I enjoyed the activities that I took apart of. Parents is the key in helping to educate their kids. I can say to all the Educators and Principles keep improving the school and helping the kids. God Bless you all.
I attended Marengo High School-MHS- for 13 years of my life (k-12. Although many tired to look down upon MHS it is by far the best public school in Marengo County. Volience was almost nonexistant and all students and educators become one big family. Learning is easier because class size allows students to have one on one sessions with the educator when needed. There was a wide range of clubs, and organizations that were offered at the school. If I had to give MHS a letter grade it would be an 'A+'. It is a great school, and I am greatful that I grew up and was educated there.
