awesome school preaches Jesus and the free gift of salvation. pro-American values and academic excellence are priority at Crossroads Baptist Acadamy.
As a parent, I couldn't be more pleased with CBA. The teachers and staff are dedicated to giving my children the best learning experience possible. Every student is known and loved personally by every staff member (my children even talk about how nice the lunch lady is!). The curriculum is challenging for the students, but gives them a very solid foundation. My child attended public kindergarten and struggled with reading and phonics. When he entered first grade at CBA, his teacher spent hours working with him to help him learn to read. I'm grateful for CBA. To the student who posted below - CBA IS a school built on Biblical standards and principles, but those standards are not shoved down anyone's throat, nor is a student looked down upon if every standard is not adopted personally by every family. If you really disagree with the standards, you don't have to attend school there. To post what was posted about the academic quality of a school because you do not agree with their beliefs - I believe that's called slander. If you are a parent wanting your child to receive an excellent edudation and learn to develop discipline and character, CBA is the school for your family.
As a previous student I hate writing this, and yet I feel I must. Spiritually-this school is decent, but they teach many baptist traditions as if they are in the Bible, when they aren't.(Women must wear skirts and you must go to the altar every time there is an oppurtunity) Academically-there is a pathetic amount of emphasis put on academics. Students are given study sheets for tests which practically have the entire test for them, "Bonus questions" are given which have nothing to do with the subject being tested upon. Proper grammar and punctuation was never checked for in essays(if we are actually assigned even one during the whole school year.) You get a pass on homework if you were out soul winning or card selling. They tell students that we are getting an exceptional education that exceeds that of public school, but I find myself struggling in school because I was not taught how to study, proper grammar, etc. I hope a parent or teacher reads this and sees what need to be done. The school has potential, but currently I can not recommend it at all.
my child attends this school. he totally loves it. everyday he comes home telling me about how much fun he has had at his school. its rare these days to find a school that truley cares about your child and makes learning fun. it unbelieveable how much my boy has learned in such a short period of time!
I love this school. The teachers and administration appear geniune. My children love this school and the teachers. My children have requested to return to Crossroads no matter where we live. I love the curriculum and the spirit filled atmosphere. I am reassured as a parent that my children are safe and getting a good education, all at a price that I can afford.
