I changed schools to Foley last year. The new school is Fabulous! I love that the administration is trying their hardest to make this school Excellent! But, honestly my old school was better, no offense to Foley, they were just out of this world! To the parents: Your children are in excellent care. In my opinion, the bully rate has gone down. Only a handful of kids are really bullied. But of course, when i say bullying i do not mean like in the old movies when people steal people's lunch money. To the parents who are thinking about moving your kids to FMS: The administration is wonderful! If you have a problem, the teachers notice and they will ask if you are ok. The curriculum is not Difficult, but it is challenging. All of the teachers are very good with the kids, so go for it!(: --a very happy child

Foley Middle is meeting the challenges of change and growth head on! I have complete faith in everyone's, administration, teachers, staff, and students to accomplish our goals: a wonderful, safe learning and teaching environment, where all of us bring our dreams, believe in our strengths and achieve success, not only in academics, but also in the valuable areas of social and civic rights and responsibilities. If we run into those whose goals are to disrupt our excitement and our progress, well, then, we'll just have to work harder...and we can!

We love the Foley Middle School. After coming from the ridged intermediate school, my son is happier and doing very well in class. The band program is outstanding, the principal is one who connects with the students. I have a good email relationship with all my son's teachers. Great communication from this school!

The teachers dont seem to help the children when they need it. They just expect them to know how. My son failed last year b/c of being absent too much b/c of being ill. They then passed him anyway b/c of his age and now hes failing again b/c he doesnt understand how to do the work and we cant get anyone to help him with it.

My son has gone to Foley Middle for 2 yrs. He has had the worst experience at this school, not only him but myself as well. His 6th grade yr the principal was no help, assisant principal she helped. I tried getting a conference with his teachers never heard anything back. He dealt with bullies almost on a ever day basis. His 7th grade yr was no better with bullies. The new principal he was wonderful with meeting with me and calling me back dealing with the issues with my son. I did get a conference with his teachers this yr. I tried calling the school board about the issues with my son never got a call back. The new principal cant change this school alone he needs help from the staff and other sources in Foley. Mr. Bailey my hat is off to you, thanks 4 UR concern for my son!

I love the new administration. They are really trying to get the children under control. But I honestly feel that the children who do not wish to be there or cause a lot of trouble need to be removed. I do not like going to school with people who are rude and insulting. It is disgraceful. There is also not a lot of students who are bad but the bad one are some of the worst people to be around. I wish they would be gotten rid of.

Foley Middle School has not been a good experience. We have not been impressed with the Administration, and parental involvement is severely lacking. The school is in need of repairs for essentials such as water fountains, towel dispensers, soap, paint, etc. School rules seem to be the order of the day, and sometimes take priority over educational content. Mass punishment instead of attention to the individual at fault is standard procedure. We really need strong vocal involvement at this school. A difference can be made if the commitment is there. By the way, our daughter is a straight A student, and does not get into trouble, so those items mentioned above are not 'sour grapes'. Some teachers there really care, but attendance at open house is not mandatory, and lacking in total participants.
