Hamilton High School is an excellent school. Our children attended and graduated college with honors. Most of the teachers really care and the benefit of attending a small school was evident in test scores.

I would like to say that Hamilton High School was a pleasure to attend. The students are typical high school students and the the majority of the faculty cares about the well being of the students. Most everything that everyone else has writeen negatively about sports and extracurricular activites are lies. I hate to be blunt but its the truth. Money does not play any role in who plays what and who gets better treatment. I have seen the best of the best and the worst of the worst treated all the same. People just get upset because thier kid is treated some particular way but that is probably the kids or the parents fault. Don't listen to the lies. Hamilton High School is a great school and I will send my kids there one day.

I attended this school for part of my high school years. Yes, there were cliques and it was very difficult for an outsider to fit in. The academic level was almost a year behind the school I transferred from. The teachers were about the same as other schools, some there for the money and others who really cared if a student learned anything or not. I feel it is imperative to support our school and our educators. After all, they are having an influence on our children, even if they or our children don't realize it at the time. My grandchildren now attend this school and are having the time of their lives. If we want our schools to be better, maybe we should be more involved. We should be cognizant of the legislature that is passed affecting our school systems, as well.

As a parent I want the best for my children, so we left a small school to attend a bigger one and we choose Hamilton. My children love it their, but the coaches favor the city kids over the country kids. And if you are known to have money you count!!! My husband and I work very hard to have what we have and we are pretty well off, but we will not raise our children to think they are better than anyone else. so most people don't really know that we do as well as we do financially. I was very disappointed at the coaching staff at this school, I was told if you made a donation to the athletics program your kid would get to play more and start in the games. this is not the way I raise my children. My advice is don't send your child here.

I had a good experience at Hamilton High. Over all the teachers were very helpful and involved with each student who was willing to apply themselves. Just like any school there is only so much a teacher can do, and then it's up to the student and their parents. Yes cliques are very apparent at this school, but not as bad as some bigger schools. There were no gangs or just plain 'mean' people, even though at some point everyone was picked on. Extracurricular activities should be increased. When I attended Hamilton High if you weren't playing sports you weren't doing anything. The school should put a least a little focus into the drama and home economics department. Over all Hamilton is a good school if the student willing to put forth some effort and strive to do their best.

I graduated from Hamilton High School in 2002, along with most schools in a town this size there are always going to be 'groups' of popular people, average people, and then common people! There is always going to be this dilemma within a school! Furthermore I do feel as though that I did have a great experience from K-12. The educators done an excellent job. There is always going to be room for improvement! The educators here at Hamilton were always willing to help. Usually, the pupils do not listen, and parents are not getting involved! They are just being typical adolescents!Overall, yes, I would say my experience there was pleasant!

I attended school at Hamilton all the way up and I believe this school system is about even par with most schools. However, I think my math background is poor compared to my college peers who attended other schools. Also, compared with other schools, there are fewer extracurricular activities offered (show choir, plays, soccer, technical and computer sciences). I think the parent involvement is average. There is discrimination, though, on behalf of the higher class students against the average ones. I guess you get that in any school, it just seems more prevalent here due to the small school size. If everyone, including teachers, made education (not social comparisons) the main goal for attending school at Hamilton, it would be the best education experience for all students.

I grew up in Hamilton, and I think for the size of the school and city, what I was offered was commensurate with other larger cities/schools. I also feel that the education that I received was pretty good for a small town high school. The quality of the academic programs offered was decent enough, although maybe the variety of academic courses offered was less than desirable. One has to consider that in a school were almost 50% of the population qualify for free and reduced lunches that academic selections might be slim. Band, chorus, and other sports extracurricular activities are offered, and the level of parental involvement seems about right for a school this size, considering the rural location.

Hamilton High School, I think, does not give every child a fair chance. They give the richer and more popular students more of a chance than they do the regular students. So I don't advise any parent to put their in this school at at all.
