1st off this school will send ur child home early without informing anyone.Came home and found my 6 yr old sitting on the porch for almost an hour &the 3 other times tk god I was home.On 3 accounts I got a phone call saying my child was marked absent while he was sitting in the classroom. That results in having to sit in court for this ridiculous reason. I also had to go personally to complain about my child being bullied to the principal & with No emotion&not caring he takes my number&says I'll get to the bottom of it & promise to call me back but u know No phone call. I sent many letters to school & even went into the office about these problems. Now they call to let me know if school will be dismissed but they call my mom in La. 8 hrs away. now if u have a child in kindergarten u don't want for them to go here, they do nothing for these kids graduation. NOTHING. Ms. Hulse, Ms.COBB are wonderful teachers and did a amazing job with my son. No tks to the office or principal we will miss them. But we moved and changing his school for the poor job that is going on n the office area.On a review it says there is only about 15 kids per grade, kindergarten has over 30 students,2 classrooms

The reason this school gets such a low GreatSchool Rating is due to the size of the school and classrooms. For instance, it only has about 12-15 kids average per each grade. Most large schools have many more, if you consider this and how it affects the testing it makes since. The larger schools have more kids to effect the curve or grade recieved but, if 1 or 2 kids dont do so well on the state test then their rating are lowered. It is a great school, we have moved around with the Military and enjoy this one as we have others.

Sparkman School is the best. The teachers are awesome. They truly care about the children. They treat all childen equal and help the children do be their best in thier personal and academic achievements. I couldn't tell you enough. I drive my child miles to go so he would go to Sparkman. Its worth it. And he has improved in achievements as well as self-esteem

Sparkman Elementary is one of the best schools I have every been in. I would strongly recommand it. The teachers really strive to meet the needs of all their students. I have seen their staff go above and beyond the call of duty to do what's right for children. They made my child feel welcomed and encouraged him to continue to do his best.
