This school hosted a band competition and leaves a lot to be desired as far as being a host school goes! We have been to MANY and this one is the worst!! They DO NOT have close to enough seating to host an event like this and as far as bathrooms go, do you have 20 minutes to wait?? They had a few indoor and then just 4 port a potties, unbelievable!! Just all around an uncomfortable experience. Add some more bathrooms and seating if you plan to host again, please.
I Have an 8th grader at Hayden High this year and I'm not so impressed with the administration, they need to remember that the 8th graders are not as responsible as the students that should actually be in a high school (9th -12) so they do need a little more help. The Blount County School Board needs to re think there absentee Doctor excused policy!
I have an 8th grader at Hayden High this year and so far we have had a positive experience.Hayden is a close and caring community and we love it. Teacher's care about the kids and my kids love the teacher's as do I.
Hayden has a awsome band program. So if your looking for a school with a prestigous band program, then Hayden is the place to go.
I have one child at HMS. The teachers have been extremely helpful. My child has been diagnosed with ADD and the school has been extremely helpful. The Assistant Principal is wonderful
Hayden is not good at sports but have a good wrestling team thats about it but overall its pretty nice
I go to hayden and personally I think its great.I of course dont like it but from a parents perspective it would be a good thing,Hayden is very concerned for a students education and can be very strict
Hayden is a great school with great teachers. 2 responses to prior comments, first, the one posted on Feb. 26. Every sentence has a grammar error in it. The first sentence doesn't even have correct noun usage (sports, not sport). The person doesn't even know that a proper noun like Hayden has to be capitalized, as exhibited in the second sentence. The third sentences shows that person can't even spell princiPAL (not princiPLE, wrong usage) correctly, so they're probably not the most intelligent person on the planet. The second comment I will respond to is Alex G. The ADD is self-diagnosed, and it's not the school's job to deal with learning conditions that aren't MEDICALLY confirmed. Anyone who says Hayden is a bad place to learn is either grinding an axe, stupid, or blind.
I think Hayden High School is one of the best school's around, my son started there in the 7th grade from Tarrant and i think that was the best move I have ever made for him. I don't think I could have picked a better school and a better community to raise my son in, I want to say 'THANK YOU' Hayden High School and all the friends I have made since we moved here. I love each and everyone in the community and ' MAY GOD BLESS US ALL.'
Hayden is not good for sport or kids. I have two kids at hayden. No help from the principle.
