I give them four starsb because they are one of the best school's in the area. That being said, there could be improvements made. As with all the school's in Walker County, more money needs to be spent upgrading classrooms. Traffic in this area of a morning and evening is a nightmare. If you are trying to make it to work on time, best to leave very early. Classroom overcrowding is also becoming more of an issue. With other school's closing it increases the workload on teachers. I believe this to be a good school, but it still needs improvements...

It needs to listen to it's students needs, instead of putting them off.

I attended Curry from 2003-2007. I absolutley loved the school, the faculty and staff, and the students who have become some of the best friends that I have ever known. I have had some of the best memories that I could ever imagined at Curry. The teachers are great and they teach you not just what you need to know for college, but what you need to know about life. The campus is a clean and safe environment for children just starting headstart or kindergarden or for high school students. I played basketball all 4 years that I attended, and I wish I could rewind time and start all over again as a freshman. I plan to send my children, when I have them, to Curry Elementary, Curry Middle, and Curry High School. It's by far the best school in Walker County!!!!

I had my ups and downs at Curry, but over all I gained a lot of knowledge and a lot of friends from there. I had many, many fond memories in the hallways and classrooms. The teachers were wonderful, there was always someone there to help you with your school work or even if you had a personal problem. After so long all the staff becomes like family, everyone knows who you are, they ask about your day and your family, overall its a great place to learn and grow and come into your own.

Children should be able to wear sweat pants/suits, if the pregnant people can, than it wouldn't be fair for non-pregnant people. At least it covers their body and doesn't reveal anything unappropiate. And choldren shouldn't be accused for crimes they didn't commit. You should reallt lack up on the students considering they have to come to school almost everyday and work as hard as they do. And just because their is one 'bad apple', doesn't mean they all are!

I'm a stay at home mom who is very involved in my childs school work. She is 16 years old and in the 10th grade. I have found out that the more I go to the school and speak with teachers and such, the better she does with her grades. I know this because the school year 2004-2005 my daughter made the A-B honor roll for the first time in her life. I am so proud of her. I do beleive that the teachers and faculty are a great reason for this.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Alabama used the Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AHSGE) to test high school students in reading, math, language, science and social studies. High school students must pass the AHSGE in order to graduate. The AHSGE is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Alabama. The goal is for all students to pass the test.
