We have some excellent teachers at Lineville. The problem I have encountered with my daughter is bullying and cliques. My daughter is an all A student, member of both the Jr. Beta and Gifted programs, however she is excluded by the other girls because they don't think she has the right clothes or her parents don't own their own business or have alot of money. My husband and I work hard to provide the best we can for both our children. My daughter is to the point that she doesn't want to go to school anymore and we've NEVER had that problem with her. I feel more could be done by administrators in regard to the group dynamic of these girls and how they treat each other.

I think that the teachers are very good for the most part. But I know there is more emphasis on sports than anything else, and that special consideration is given to players. While kids who are not in sports are picked out and given a hard time over petty things.

LHS has really turned it around lately. its become alot safer of a school lately & i really wishi could still go there. Yes, sports is a big deal there, but it definitely doesnt interfere with academics in any way!

Well,I am a former student who left in the eight grade, and let's just say:I wish I wou;d have never left! lol Anyways,if u want a school, who focuses in on academics and football, this is the right school! they have teachers who enjoy teaching, and talking football with the students and players. Let's have fun while we r in school, and good grades at the same time. LHS is the best!

I have to agree with the person who wrote about how good the school is. Look around. Do you realize how ignorant it makes you look by putting down a school that excels in almost everything those students could possibly offer? How dare you sit there and ostracize children for wanting to play sports. That football team is one of the best football teams I have ever seen. When they walk onto that field peoples eyes light up, spirits rise, hopes and dreams become real. Apparently you don't appreciate the art of happiness because that is exactly what those kids feel when they step on that field. For one night they are invincible, for one night they are the hero of a five year old little boy that comes every Friday to watch his favorite player make that game winning catch.

If you want your child in a school that cares about nothing but Football, then this is your school. Everything else just comes second here, including academics and if your children are not athletic, the teachers simply won't put any effort in their academics.

The disipline is perfectly fine. And if the teachers and students enjoy sports alot more than other schools, thats fine.YOU cant see it from their perspective, so you dont understand. Atleast alot of the students are going to college. If you really care you will let them have fun now, because once they grow up,leave school and get jobs, they cant have the fun they could now. Let them live. If they are doing good in school LEAVE THEM ALONE. From what I can see at that school, its a big family. Everyone gets along and nothing ever really happens. I am a student at another school and I only WISH I could go to a school like Lineville. The teachers are extremly involved and all of the students enjoy so many activities. I only wish I could be there to enjoy such things also.

Sorry to say, but the discipline at this school is terrible. There is little to none. If the teachers had some administrative backing when it came to the students, I feel like this school could do a turn around and be the great place it once was. More emphasis should be put on academic work rather that athletic work.
