Small classes, dedicated teachers, strong community support, the students and faculty are very accepting of challenged students. As for quality of education- examine their yearly evaluations among the county, the state and the nation. Also, see the results of standardized testing. These are above average. Administration is very accessible and friendly.
Since this is the South, yes, occasionally a footballer gets a scholarship to a major university. And, the cafeteria is famous for their soup day - the kids love it!
Teachers in the younger grades use posters, rhymes, spelling games, pledges , tattle tale boxes and keep a firm hand to prevent cheating - test blinds, different seating or different computers etc.. Bullying is not tolerated. After third grade, I can not vouch. Although, the counselor there is amazing.
