I have worked in this school for 12 years and absolutely love it. My children also attended school here. The Staff is fun to work with and the principal is excellent.

Moon Lake School - A community school in every sense of the word ! A yearly Harvest Festival, parent and community involvemment, a gymnasium built with funding provided by the Alabama Band, a playground rendered handicap accessible through bake sales and proceeds from the Harvest Festival, a cafeteria beautifully decorated by a local artist, a place where the former principal knew every child by name. The school rating was five star plus back then but sadly our former principal has left. Parent involvement has decreased and we are hearing rumours that this wonderful school may be closing. We want our school and our former principal back before it is too late! Please don't take the community out of our local community school. Improvements are always welcome but why fix what wasn't broken. Please help to save one of the few community schools left in America today.

Moon Lake is an excellent school. The Principal knows all the kids by name and takes an active interest in how they are doing. The teachers are very knowledgeable, and caring. They think of the kids as their own. The school has sports activities and participates in 4-H.
