my son has attended faith for 2 years and we love this school. we are transferring this summer and my husband and i both agree the one thing we will miss about mobile is faith academy. both years his teachers have been great. very caring and understand- yet firm enough with their discipline to keep the classes running smoothly. we have really enjoyed our experience here and would recommend faith academy to anyone looking for a great, affordable private education.

Preschool program is fine. Kindergarten on up, reconsider the curriculum. My child attended kindergarten here and transferred to public school for first grade. Th kindergarten student/teacher ratio in public school is smaller and the curriculum is of a higher standard. My second child attended kindergarten in the public school and could write a 4 sentence paragraph by the 4th quarter of school. If higher academic standards is what you are seeking, look elsewhere, otherwise it's a good school. I wish I would have researched curriculum before enrolling my child.

I disagree with the review below as Faith is the most diverse private Christian school in Mobile County. The school is designed for and very accomodating to working parents, and compared to other parochial private schools in Mobile, the tution is quite reasonable. Their handling of the well publicized parent slapping of the teacher incident proved hey do not put up with riff-raff and are not afraid to immediately expel trouble-making students parents. Where else can you get a fully accredited education in a private school for the cost of Faith's tuition?

This school i would have to say is just like any other school there is nothing special about this school my kid is always complaining about something new and at first i told him this is to better you but now i see he is right i'm pulling him next year cause this school is not what i thought his grades have not improved i'm a just going have to get a tutor its much cheaper than the high tuition parents don't waste your money and if your child has something to say about his/her school listen to what they have to say before judging their opinion

Faith Academy is an abomination! It is one of the most segregated and critical schools in the city of Mobile. I had to remove my 10, 15,and 17 year old children from that school because of the way the teachers treat students of a certain race. I would NOT recommend this school to anyone who is against racism. The principals are in on it as well because the show favoritism over a "select few"

This school has one of the best band programs in a private school in the entire South East. Band director David Pryor has the vision to challenge the kids to perform well and compete nationally. They consistently get superior ratings. They recently played by invitation at Carnegie Hall. The athletic programs are excellent but challenged in recent time due to growing into larger conferences. Proud tradition of winning.. including soccer. Academically, they challenge kids to excel (that includes homework). The goal of education is to LEARN. Excellent teachers. My child received a full academic SCHOLARSHIP to college. Those that complain here are often offended by one-off circumstances and post 'revenge reviews'. Don't be fooled. This is one of the best private schools in the state with depth in academics, music, sports and Christian atmosphere. The price is very competitive with other local, higher priced but less accomplished schools. Don't pass this by.

Do not send your child to this school! I have waisted 6 yrs of tuition! The schools quality and professionalism is aweful. I have tried to talk to them about the bully situation and the favortism. They don't even want to talk about it! All they care about is their athletic programs and "free scholorships". The people who pay their tuition, volunteer and put their all into their childrens education mean nothing to them. Their priorities are in the wrong place. The kids get hr detention for gum. The kids who bully and plot to hurt your child get nothing. Bad news if you are looking into this school for your child!

I've been at this school for almost a year now and I must say I do NOT like it at all. The teachers main priority is not to teach the students, and their academics is ridiculous!!! Many people of the staff and many of the students base their judgement on race rather than on the inside. The ONLY GOOD THING is their chapel service. It really helps you have an amazing connection with your spitirual self. Other than that, don't bother sending your child to Faith. It is a waist of time and MONEY. I highly recommend Baker, Davidson, or Murphy!

For those who matter, mr Pryor of the faith academy band very recently took the band students to Birmingham for a "conference" where the students played beautifully... Unfortunately Unbeknown to us all, the expensive "trip" for the "students" was so the insttructor could get out of going to the TEACHER conference by himself for the week! They were very upset for all their hard work and the money they paid to be rushed around due to poor planning and play their hearts out for their OWN teachers!! Very unprofessional.

Some of the teachers scream at students in front of others, which only belittles them. Use your discretion.

The so called discipline program is a joke to say the least, very one-sided. A lot of safety issues going on that administration is reluctant to deal with, especially in the pre-k building. Anyone concerned about the safety of their child, don't send them here. That is why we left.

I have taken my child out of Faith Academy. The assertive dicipline program is ridiculous. I am very disipointed in the quality of the education and it is laughable to make seniors in high school walk in a silent single file line to the lunchroom. This school will make your child full of anxiety and fear. I do not reccommend this crazy school at all.

This school is a great school and the school is NOT BUILDING A NEW GYM LIKE EVERYONE SAYS. They are building very nice playgrounds and a new highschool building along with a new softball and baseball field. This school is a good school for people to get a good christian education! I feel proud to say I attend Faith Academy when people ask me what school I go to ! I didnt want to go to school there first because I thought there would be snobby kids there but on my first day of school there (this year as a 8 GRADER) I had tons of kids introducing themselves and telling me if I never needed help to just ask them ! I LOVE FAITH ! GOD BLESS

I attended Faith Academy for 12 years and I can't thank them enough for all they did for me. Not only did I receive a great education, the teachers and administration all have a heart full of compassion and love for the students and their jobs. There is not a better school!

My son attended K5 and part of first grade there before we moved. Overall, a very loving environment but the classrooms are so huge that it's hard if your child has any extra needs, which mine does. His K5 class had 25 students and 1st grade started with 27 students, with no assistant. Way too many little ones for the teachers to be able to give anyone extra time.

I attended Faith Academy for 7 years and I could not be more satisfied with my experience. Unlike many have written- I was not an athlete, yet I was shown just as much love and respect, if not more, than any of the star athletes. The teachers are all willing to go the extra mile to help the students in any way, whether it be for academic purposes or even personal reasons. Faith was more like a home, everyone was close and we all had strong relationships. It was a safe and accepting environment. I will definitely be sending my future children to Faith, and possible be teaching there myself!
