Gilliard has some of the most dedicated teachers and staff. The parents are very willing to volunteer. The students are some of the most well behaved I have seen. This is an excelent school.

This is a community school involved in meeting the needs of its families. Teachers work together to ensure the success of each child and provide opportunities for achievement in all areas of a child's life. This is one of the few local elementary schools with an archery team. The team has competed in local and state events and has been invited to shoot in the national competition this year (lack of funding may prohibit attending). Students have also competed and won writing and art contests.

The kids are wonderful ,the teachers are awesome and our parents are very supportive. We are the ONLY elementary school that offers an archery team and an overnight camping experience for our students!! Our kids give generously to the American Heart Association through Jump Rope for Heart and donate their used shoes to the Wings of Life each year.We participate on a daily basis recycling everything from paper to potato chip bags and Capri Sun pouches to raise money for the school.I am proud to be a Gator!!

Quality of teachers is fair, not great, but not horrible. Quality of all other employees is poor. Principal is unresponsive at best when questioned about the safety and education of her students. If you can afford, then do yourself a favor and find a private school for your children in Mobile, Al.
