Great school, active PTSA, and very challenging curriculum. I've had one child to complete 6-8 grade and another one is about to begin.

Floyd has a wonderful mix of great education and student involvement. This is our first year at Floyd and we already know our child will be very ready for the future school years due to the very responsive, diligent, and knowledgable teachers (not to mention the the Administration). I want my child to have all that is available in the Science and Technology sector simply because that is where the future is. Floyd can take our children there with no problem. It should be 'America's Favorite School'!!!

I'm a new parent in the Floyd family. I am pleased with the support that the teachers are offering. The 6th grade honor's math teacher along with her teenage son donates 1 hour of their personal time, to tutor students. No charge! Just one hour of their time to give back to the students. I'm so pleased to be apart of this schools family. Thank you.

I am currently a 7th grader at this school. I maintain a 3.5 - 3.75 GPA. You have to have 2.5. Some of the options in electives are Personal Finance, Computer, Spanish, Yearbook, Band, Speech, Art, and a few I think I'm missing. The extra-curricular activities include National Junior Honors Society, Debate Team (I currently participate in), Step Team (This one too), Dance Team, Panther Productions (This one too, is basically a news show in the morning time for Floyd.), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Student Council, and lots more! The teachers there are well educated, the food is good, students are nice, and I think this is the best school I have ever attended. (Out of about 4 or so schools) Anyway, I give it 5 stars!

Whoa! That is really all I can say. FMMS is the best school to me I went there for 6Th & 7Th grade. Your probley wondering, ' oh if it is so good why did you not go for 8Th. I did not attend because of my grade you must have a 2.5 at the end of the year to come back. Overall you must be in the Band. It Rocks. Most school's bands are for 'nerds' but this when rocks. You are cool if you go into band. Play trombone it rocks. Well overall go to Floyd Middle Magnet School

My daughter came to Floyd Middle Magnet from a non-magnet middle school. The transition was difficult, but the teachers at Floyd are very dedicated in helping the students. The school has wonderful leadership and plenty of activities for the students to be involved in. My daugher has enjoyed her time at Floyd.
