I was told by my teacher, Mrs. Goggins, in first grade that I was owned by the state and my teacher was my mother between the hours of 8am and 3pm Mon - Fri.

I am very upset with Valley! Everyday it just seems like my child is the devil and he is not he is a good kid he does talk alot, I am not sure of a child that does not. After all of the phone call's, I asked my son if he felt like he was being treated unfair and he clearly told me yes they are mean to him and I asked if other students were treated the same way he is being treated and he told me NO! I am tired of my child picked on, not just by students but also the teachers and office staff!

These are questions. What percentage of the Special Ed students have ADHD? How can I find out more about what their process is. If a child has great Math skills, but is behind in reading, how is that ameliorated?

My son attended Valley Elementary K-2 and he has had a wonderful experience. The music, PE, and Art programs are great, as well as the library. The teachers at Valley really care about their students. Parents are encouraged to be involved. Every time I visited Valley Elementary I saw happy, smiling faces on the students and the faculty. Great job, Valley Elementary!

Valley is a really good school. My daughter loves going to school and the teachers are really outstanding. She is in the first grade this year and she is reading and writing above grade level. They have a wonderful PE , art, music teachers and the parents are encouraged to get involved. I would recommend this school.

This is a very good school. All of the employees are very positive. As a child, I moved often and attended many kinds of schools, including a private school, but Valley is better than any of them. My daughter went to kindergarten in Hoover at a wonderful public school, and she has enjoyed the same quality at Valley during first grade last year and again in second grade. Her teachers, Mrs. Towles and Mrs. Appling, are excellent.

I struggled with whether to start my son in Kindergarten in Public school vs. private school, considering our economic woes. I gave Valley Elementary a try and could not be happier! Valley Elementary's teachers are wonderful, loving, caring, dedicated professionals. My son was lucky to be placed in Jody Dickens' class - she was a fabulous teacher! (All of them at Valley are...) Ms. Dickens really brought my son out of his shell and he will return to Valley in first grade in the fall independent, confident and eager to learn. The teachers at Valley really strive to teach our children as we want them to be taught; with the ability to compete with the best of the best. Thanks Ms. Dickens and Thanks all at Valley Elementary! I look forward to the years to come... C.Poynter

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.
