My son is about to begin Kindergarten at this school and we are very excited. He had kindergarten camp which got the children ready for the classroom and teacher. It was all very well organized. We are pleased to have our son at this school.

I have two children currently enrolled at RES and have been very pleased with the their progress. The teachers and staff are all very friendly and professional. I am also able to volunteer several times through out the school year, which helps me stay involved. I would recommend RES to everyone!!

My child has been attending this school since kindergarten. Although the school is small, my child has been challenged both mentally and physically throughout his education here. He excels in his academics primarly because of the smaller, less intimidating class size. This allows for more 1 on 1 teaching. He has a vast variety of friends because let's face it, everyone knows each other! The physical education he gets here is also as equally important. Here he truly gets PHYSICAL exercise -- Go Mr. Smith! Kids need the extra exercise. It's not an option not to participate! The principal and staff are all helpful, friendly and readily open to new suggestions and conversations. I've never once felt as though I wouldn't be heard. I love the family-like atmosphere that is exhibited here. It feels like home! I guess that's why my child EXCELS here!

My school aged daughter currently attends Ranburne and has since Kindergarten. She is about to begin second grade and seems to enjoy the academic challenges. It would be nice if there were extracurricular activities available. Parents are always welcomed and it seems that there are a lot of parent volunteers in the rooms.

My youngest child is in this school. Compared with other school systems, this one is the best. Being small, everyone knows everyone therefore, the children are very well behaved. The teachers are always available and sincerely interested in the best for their students. As a parent, I am always welcomed to visit and eat lunch with my child - I never feel like I'm an outsider, (this is comforting). They are constantly making imrpovements you can see. The only drawback is no after-school activities for the school - like homework help, sports, or even after-school care. I think this would be a tremendous improvement for the school and the area.

My son transferred here from another school system in the third grade. In the other system, he was constantly bored. Here, he is academically challenged every day. He is now in the fifith grade and we couldn't be happier. Granted, the extra-curricular activities could step it up a bit, but really the kids are here for an education, right? There could be a little more organization and notification of parents that can't be involved at the school every day due to full-time jobs, but I've never had a problem speaking with a teacher after school hours. I also appreciate the strict dress code, behavior disciplinary actions, and the use of corporal punishment where needed. Teachers should have more control over students, not the other way around. Overall, I think this is a good system that is working with the funds made available to them.
