I am a senior at Satsuma, and it has been wonderful. The teachers are phenomenal; however, the administration could use some work. Overall, this is a great school.

It's like everything else, you get out of it what you put in it. If your child is lazy and needs 'coaching' to learn, they will not do well in any high school. At high school age, you should be ready to learn or drop out if you're just there to be babysat or to socialize. The principal there, Mrs. Debbie Altman, loves those children at Satsuma. She will do anything to help you succeed at Satsuma and takes everything to heart.

The School is a system. The only worry about the 'test' and thats all they teach so don't expect some help from this school when it comes to the real world. The science department is decent. English Department is pretty Bad. Math is excellent(Honors math is far better than regular). And Social Studies is Decent. Overall the school doesn't feel like thhey are teaching the student. Really it feels like your just another product going down the assembly line being put together as fast as possible.

I am a satsuma graduate and I just want everyone to know that when I was a student there I thought some rules were ridiculous and some classes were hard, but I loved going to school every day. Now that I have been out of school for one year I have realized the effect that school had on my life and I would recommend Satsuma to anyone who values quality education along with enstilling great morals and ethics in there children . This school has everything anyone would look for in a public school.Test scores prove the teachers( for the most part ) do there job, one of the top graduating classes every year with the fewest dropout rates ( so students enjoy attending Satsuma) our Athlectic Programs ( Football slowly but surely) are always over achieving . I loved my high school and miss it every day .

I personally think that Satsuma High School is the best. My dad went there and so did my cousin and I am now a member of the school! I am in the marching band as a freshmen playing the clarinet! So, Come to the games and encourage your children to come her because it is a really great school.

Satsuma is a great high school with many chances for your kids to improve. They have great programs in there music, arts, and sports. There band made straight ones in all there marching contest along with straight ones in district and state contest. The band also traveled to Alanta, Ga for a contest were they recieved an over all one. The choir also traveled to Washington D.C. to sing on steps of the capitol. The baseball team finish #8 in the state and the basketball team finish #9. Satsuma also has one of the finest grad exam rates in the state. They were in the top 15 in the state and #2 in the county. My two children love and loved Satsuma High School.

Wow! I'm astonished to look through these testimonials. This high school can start improvement with the teachers. I have found that tenure's get in the way of quality education at Satsuma. Many of the teachers are lazy and no longer capable of providing lesson plans for the students. After my children graduated, they moved away to college and vowed to never came back to Satsuma.
