I love the school and how close everyone seems. I moved my children from the Ozark school system to Skipperville. What I do not like is if you do not have the right last night the adults ( not kids ) treat you different. I do not regret at all about our move it was completely worth it.

Technology is the only weakness we have noted; not only in student access but the fact that they do not even have a functional web site. Overall, though, the place is one in a million and we feel very fortunate our child can attend there.

As a military family, my son has attended GW Long from 6th through 8th grade. Teachers are wonderful. Students are very close. It's the closest thing to a private school that you can get without paying for high dollar tution. Lots of school spirit. Students here still believe in the power of prayer and religion in school.

As a former student at G.W.Long High School, I personally do not recommend this schoool to anyone that wants their child to learn anything. The teachers make you feel like they want you to fail. They focus more on pop quizzes and unexpected tests than they do helping you understand and comprehend things.

G.W long is one of the best schools my child has ever been to the teachers are concerned with the childs progress. My child has learned more in one semester at gw then he has learned in 2 years at other school. The teacher teach in a understandable way and so he can make good grades and still learn alot.
