Springville High has great staff and amazing counselors for my kid. There are great clubs for participating in and it is a safe environment.

As an alumnus of SHS who has gone on to college, I can say that I was not challenged academically as I would have liked to have been. SHS provided great ways for me to get involved and make friends, however I seemed to breeze through without being thoroughly challenged.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Alabama used the Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AHSGE) to test high school students in reading, math, language, science and social studies. High school students must pass the AHSGE in order to graduate. The AHSGE is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Alabama. The goal is for all students to pass the test.
