Wonderful and caring administration!! Parents are actively encouraged to participate in any and all functions of the school. Students are truly cared for on an individual basis. Any hint of drug use, bullying or inappropriate activity is stopped immediately and dealt with appropriately. We need more school like this one. Unfortunately, the board has decided to close this wonderful school at the end of this academic year.

Townley was a pleasant surprise for me and my family. It has a great small school atmosphere but good teaching is very evident by the test scores. Mrs Atkins is trying very hard to replace teachers who are retiring with top notch teachers in their field. The classes are small, and everyone is friendly with each other, and even the kids go out of their way to make new kids feel welcome.

My son went to a private school last year and this year we decided to send him to a public school. He just loves it!!!! He actually wants to go to school and everyone has been so nice in welcoming him.

Since Dr. Beaty has left this school, it has really gone down hill. As a parent of a child who attends this school, I am greatly concerned about the future of Townley.

I think Townley is not given enough credit for the great things they accomplish. The 7th Grade 2 years in a row got 1st in the county for the writing assessment. That was never recongnized publicly. The Beta Club went to the Nationals in Louisianna. They do so many great things, not just academically but also in sports. The girls got 1'st place in the small schools county tournament in volleyball and basketball. The teachers at Townley are wonderful.
