Edgewood and Holtville are the best schools in the county. Wetumpka's being overtaken with thugs who can't get thrown out no matter how hard they try. "Montgomery" attitude ruined Prattville, ruined Stanhope, and are now taking over WHS. Curriculum is a joke. My daughter has to sit in class and listen to how she needs to be with a "thug n-word" instead of a her own and watch the teacher slow down so these individuals can keep up. Something's got to change.

Prepared me well for college. Admittedly a bit unorganized at times, but it is good for a high school, and most of the extracurricular events/organizations do good work.

Wetumpka High is over-all a good, decent school. There are some rules enforced that should be revised, but there are other rules that are good and help keep structure and order. There is a handful of great teachers, some good and a few who need to re-evaluate their teaching methods. The student body definately has a reason to have school spirit due to the excellent extracurricular activities. Only complaint is that there is no strings/orchestra class.

I graduated from Wetumpka High School in 2005 and I then went to college at Troy University in the fall of that same year.At Troy, I found myself very unprepared for the college curriculums, especially in English and science. However in highschool I did well in both subjects.I do not believe academics are taken seriously enough by most of the teachers at Wetumpka High School. It took me a year of struggling at Troy University before I felt I was able to 'catch up' with my fellow classmates.Wetumpka High School is staffed with teachers who do not care if their students are performing at grade level. If I am still in the area when I have children, they will not attend Wetumpka High School.

I think Wetumpka High School is the tightest school in whole state of Alabama.

After having spent too much time in an unban school situation, we have found Wetumpka High School to be a haven of educational opportunities. The principal, Ms. Wright, is both a caring person and a strong leader. The faculty and staff are dedicated to the students and the school. A well-rounded curriculum with a variety of electives make WHS a great place for today's students - a place which will prepare them academically and emotionally to take their rightful place in a past-paced, high-tech world.

Well I think overall its a pretty nice school. And me personally I like it alot.I cant say its the best cause its not. I've learned alot.We dont have many teachers, but our reliable principals manages to get by.The extracurricular activities are great and theres many to choose from.Theres not much parent involvement but there is some. And to most of us students the teachers are like our parents, other family, and friends. Its a very safe enviornment accompanied by security everyday. What school doesn't have discipline problems?Well, overall I love it and would'nt leave it.I think your child will do the same.

This school has the ability be a great school, however it lacks discipline. Until changes are made, it will only go down hill.
