I am a grandparent who has three grandchildren that I am raising they all go to Tanner Williams Elementary School. My oldest is in the fifth and her last year there. I can't say that I am happy about that but they times at Tanner Williams have been great. The teachers have encourage the children and went over board to make sure that they apply there self to their education. My fifth grader has had A honor roll since enrollment. She was nominated for Leadership week in Washington D.C. this year due to the envolvement of the Library and the working to together as a team at this school my granddaughter attended space camp on a grant. She loved the trip. Not only do we have parents and teachers working together but we have Chad Fincher working with us to encourage our kids to get the best eduction they can get.

I love Tanner Williams School, I have had two children to attend this school and have nothing but praise for the teachers and faculty of this school. Both of my children have recieved a top quality education here. Because it is a small school, in a small community we do not have to worry so much about drugs and violence as much as in other schools. I would not think of sending my elementary aged child any where else. I believe it is the best school in Mobile.

This is my daughters first year here and so for her teacher has not been helpful at all. I have tried several times to find out how my daughter does in class and all I get from her teacher is that she will have to look at her test scores. I have expressed to the teacher several times that test scores is not what I want to know about; I want to know how she is doing in class. Some of the teachers seem unfriendly, but all together it is a good school.

Tanner Williams is an excellent school! It is small compared to most others, but great things come in small packages! I have had 3 children go through there from K5 to finish. This was over a period from 1984 through 2005. My children were spread apart by several years. All of my children loved T.W. elementary, the school, the Teachers and the other staff as well! What can I say? I love this school! There has always been a lot of parent envolvement. Mostly 100% PTA membership etc. Sure we've had several principals over the years and some of my Favorite teachers have retired. My oldest daughters Kindergarten teacher was also my youngest daughters teacher and they are 12 yrs apart. There are always some negatives anywhere. But believe me there are a lot more positives at Tanner Williams! They are like one big extended family.

The school is in a small town we know it as downtown Tanner Williams. Some teachers are great and others are not. The principal well not one I would want in school and well not one i really want for my child. But with that said I would have to say it's a okay school but not a great one. Good luck findinga better school.

Tanner Williams is a great, small town/community school. It could add some professionalism. Often forgotten because of the location. Getting more new teachers every year! For the most part, T.W. is where I want my children to be. The faculty knows all of the students. We are like family!
