Awesome school-invested teachers, committed and engaged principal and great parental support network! A significant attractant to remaining in the state and what a pleasure to see your little one bloom and grow in this nurturing but challenging environment.

I love that Aquarian is an ability led school. They cater to all levels of students based on their individual needs starting in Kindergarten. The teachers are all fantastic and most of the students are very friendly. For the students who aren't friendly, they seem to be addressed quickly and they have zero tolerance for bullying. The after school activities are fantastic, and the exploration days are the highlight of the quarter for the students.

My son attended Aquarian for kindergarten and 1st grade. I have absolutely loved this school. The teachers are great and love what they do. My son has excelled academically and socially. They provide great after school activities, awesome exploration days and many different things to stimulate kids learning. You will never walk into Aquarian and not see parents there volunteering. It's a really nice thing to see. The staff and the families get along so well. I would recommend Aquarian to everyone that I know. We are moving out of state and I am honestly sad to leave Aquarian.

Aquarian Charter school is a perfect balance of arts and sciences. It is a kid focused school with a lot of parent involvement. The inquiry-based delivery of the curriculum provides students with lots of problem solving opportunities which build important skills for later in life. Thanks Aquarian!!

The school is so warm and inviting! The teachers and staff work with students closely, create interesting and exciting learning experiences, and students who become self motivated learners because of their efforts. We love Aquarian and would recommend the school to anyone that wants a strong academic program, extra classes like Spanish and Technology, and a small caring learning community!

A great fit for my child. If you want to be part of your child's education this is a welcoming place. Children are tested to determine their placement level in core subjects and are moved along accordingly. Parents here are expected to participate and volunteer in many capacities for the good of the whole school. It has to be good or I wouldn't commit to driving across town twice a day for the foreseeable future just so my daughter can go there!

Excellent! Spanish, art twice a week, explorations... what's not to love? The staff and teachers really have the best interest of the students in mind. It is excellent that more is required of the parents than chauffeuring children to and from school by requiring volunteer hours.

Aquarian is an amazing school that offers opportunities to children in our city that are not found in the normal public schools. They take the time to assure that each child is being taught at their learning level and don't hold back children who are ready to move forward. They are encouraging in every way. The teachers, staff and parents are who make this school happen, and the children are the awesome product of what is acheived daily.

We love Aquarian Charter School because of the positive environment and programs provided. Children are not only allowed to excel, but encouraged to excel, in curriculum. Children are allowed to read, spell, do math, etc. at their own skill level and not be held back because of their assigned 'grade level'. Aquarian offers technology, music, art, foreign language, and many, many extracurricular activities. There is a high percentage of parent involvement and commitment to the school. It is an incredibly positive atmosphere for learning and maturing for elementary students.

I love the support, dynamics and opportunities at Aquarian Charter School. We live on the opposite end of town. The teachers and all faculty put the students first. We as parents all participate in one or another. They have a very open door policy. So far they have been able to keep class size small and support teachers with assistants. Unlike other schools in our area, they have also been able to keep music, art and physical education strong priorities. Currently they are facing budget shortfalls as the district increases rent of the building, which we call our school. We are working as a group to help bridge the gaps. I love this school and what is stands for, that is 'our children are our future!!'

Our kids are tremendously successful as their core courses are taught at their level. We have a very strong math and reading component, with our Specialists also teaching in the math blocking system. Our kids are creative, thoughtful, forward thinking, and great members of the community! Our teaching staff excels in their dedication to differentiation and all the benefits it brings for our students. We have a great socio-economic base of students which allows them to be the best at who they are - not worry about where they live or the perception of what they have/don't have. Our parents care deeply about the education their children are receiving.

All of the teachers and staff are excellent, caring and supportive of the students. My first impression of the school was, 'look at all the colors!' The inside was so colorful, every shade of the rainbow and then some. This was in complete contrast to the local public school my child attended as a kindergardener; a totally sterile and institutional-like environment. I LOVE Aquarian. It is a wonderful school. I knew it was very special on our very first day when Sue (the principal) made it a point to visit with us and learn my children's names and who their new teachers would be. We came in the middle of the school year and she helped make our transition easy with her cheerfulness and professionalism. She knows every child, and she makes every child feel special and important. Her happiness and caring character flows directly to her wonderful teaching and administrative staff. I actually look forward to going to the office! Not only is Ms. Sue an advocate for children of all backgrounds, she also loves animals. One of her classes has two therapy dogs. The children love them, and you can see how anxieties disappear and calmness takes over when the children are with the dogs. So, with the support of the principal, teachers, and also the parents, Aquarian is a fabulous place to take your children. Each child feels special and therefore is very proud of their school. Each quarter the children have an "Exploration Day". It is one day to really have fun and "dig into" a subject. The subjects range from learning frisbee golf, to fairy princess crafts, to drama.

Aquarian Charter school is what schools should be, involved parents and engaged kids. Aquarian is a success because teachers, students and parents make it that way. Students are evaluated for their individual skills and taught from that refefrence point not based on a norm set be standards for a particualr grade, students aren't a number and every teacher in the school is involved with each student, whther it be from pullouts for math, independent study classes, liek Elporation days allowing students to spend a day learning and exploring their own interests, or in the lunch room or recess. Every teacher make it their responsibility to know the student body not just those in their class. Aquarian values student independance and discovery and makes ecery effort to allow students to explore. I have seen other public achools in the area and Aquarian sets itself apart, continually communication, value of diversity, parent involvement, teacher and education quality and development ofthe student body.

This school has changed my child's life. We were at Bear Valley--which is a high achieving school- but she was so unhappy. Kids were not caring, but instead clicky and like 'mini-teenagers.' At AQuarian the children are sweet, and still innocent. They care more about reading books and building tree forts than their MySpace site. Thank you THank you Aquarian! WE love you!! Aquarian is a creative and caring school that values parent and community involvement. All rooms are happy and exciting with bright colors, classroom pets, and wonderful materials to encourage learning. They have a very strong gifted program that also includes the non-gifted children in the classrooms to build real community. The staff is the best I have ever seen--they truely care about every child. Very little discipline here as parents and staff really do a great job comunication about the needs of each child. This is a very high quality experience- the only probelm is being able to get your child in on the lottery as it is a public/charter school and they have hundreds of kids on a waitlist at times. visit and you will see what I mean the minute you enter the door! a parent

I don't have enough room to tell all of the great things about Aquarian. Both of my children started in '03 and have excelled beyond our hopes. I feel we have some of the best teachers and a fantastic principle who work very hard every day to keep our kids safe and happy. As for parent involvement we are required to do 2 hours of volunteer work per child per month. This gives the support to the teachers but allows us the opportunity to see our kids during the day. My 8 and 10 year old are learning Spanish and will all the way through 6th grade. Since placing my children at Aquarian they have both done so well they are in Math classes at least one year ahead of their grade. This is not something that is possible in a neighborhood school! Check it out, you won't be sorry!

My daughter has excelled in this program. I have watched staff grow and expand and am impressed with the tactics they use to get children interested in learning. This program allows for not only high level achievment but for other children to learn at their own pace and excel at their own levels. OUr Principle is fare and honest and really follows up on everything thrown on her plate. The core courses are taught well and children really do get a strong understanding of phonics, math, science, music, art, and social studies. Diverse 'after school' classes are available with spanish, art, katrate, yoga, paper arts, and skateboarding to develop many healthy interestes for the kids. Scouting programs are easily available to all children regardless of financial status. I would highly recomend ANYONE interested to come in and check it out. There are always parents around to talk to in the halls during classes.

My son has been with this school since kindergarten and is currently entering into the 4th grade. The school is exceptional in it's focus on education and child/parent participation. My son is comfortable in his abilities and his intellect. He also has found a niche as a peer tutor - something the school supports in educating all of the children within this school. No child is left behind. The principal is remarkable. She knows every child to every parent and remembers what is going on in the students life outside of school. I have and will continue to recommend this school to anyone searching for an exceptional education for their children.
