' This school is very advanced for middle school, my child loves it, and she likes it a lot more than the high school. The kids don't like the cell phone and ipod deal, but otherwise its a great school. The teachers understand the kids, and try there hardest to help each and every kid. It's not the best, but by next year, I personally think they will get there act together, and It will be a good school. This year was confusing, but fun at the same time. I love this school, everyone helps.

this school does not control the students, only a few teachers have a grip on the subject they teach to draw in students attention. Disrespect and anger abounds. The teachers who are good are very good- but they are few.. all 5 kids hated it and were not really ready to go on to high school anywhere else but here.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Alaska used the Standards Based Assessment (SBA) to test students in grades 3 through 10 in reading, math and writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 10 in science. The SBA is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Alaska. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
