Lots of bullying happening at the school repeated reporting with no consequence or follow through.
assistant principal promising programs and accelerated classes for gifted children still has not available
This is a good school. It is better than any of the other nearby schools. They have uniforms and a very strict anti-bullying policy. They have higher expectations academically, so only recommend for students who are college bound and have the necessary motivation to function in a college prep environment.
Students are expected to be self motivated. There is not much prompting on the school's part. The school's ultimate goal is to make each student college ready, so students are expected to set their own goals.
My Son transferred from a smaller school. I was under the impression they had small class sizes. The class sizes were 35+ students. My son is a strong willed child. He was tossed in with the "trouble Makers' category almost immediately cause he didn't fit in the "it" crowd. He was just another problem to them. He was picked on and bullied and the staff did nothing but punish him when he tried to stand up for himself. One of the drawing factors was their Robotics program that didn't exist. There was very little communication between the office and the parents and even less between the teacher and parent. He was bored and was not challenged in class. I wound up pulling my son after only 3 months at this campus and putting him back in his previous school. If i wanted my son unchallenged, Bullied and in a class of 35+ I would have put him in the over crowded Apache Junction public schools.
