New West School

Before this school combined their 2 campuses they had actual certified teachers on their staff. Since 2009 when they combined their two campuses into one very small campus the instruction quality went down hill. My 12 year old went from being an excellent student in a regular public school to falling well below her grade level. When addressed their instructors have no explanation or plan of action. My 9 year old is in their 3rd grade program and spelling tests consist of words learned in kindergarten. The instructors fail to communicate with parents and actually disregard the childrens best interest. Fortunately for mychildren we are proactive parents and will be obtaining tutoring to help them reach their grade requirements before they transfer out of this school.

Super outstanding school! We travel more than 150 miles a day to take our child from the Vail AZ. School district to attend this charter school in Benson. Our Son has been on the honor roll from day one (the Vail school system did not have an honor roll for grades K-2, or any recognition for excellence for that matter ) The Administration is very Pro-Student and they take a personal interest in them, they have exceeded our expectations by a huge margin! The teachers are professional and loving, our son has flourished under them and his test scores have risen from good in Vail, to super outstanding! We consider them to be the finest education that we can give our child and are looking forward to our daughter attending next year! Our understanding was that our son s classmates had received outstanding test results as well
