This school is absolutly awful. The principal is just down right RUDE. She is very inconsiderate and disrespectful towards the parents. We are not very impressed with the school counselor eigther. The students at this school do not seem to know how to get along and the school does not get involved enough to prevent bulling. I have never seen such a horrible school. We are looking to pull our children out and place them in a school that will provide them with a safe and positive environment to give them a chance to be successful. Parents do not place your kids in this school.
Our son started kindergarten this year at BES and we are really impressed with the quality of teaching he has received. Mrs. Kerr is so kind and always approachable about any topic. She always seems to be calm with the kids and is great about communicating with us about our son's behavior and progress. I also appreciate that Mr. Bartlett took the time to walk our son to his playground on the 3rd day of school when he was afraid to go on his own. After that day, he was able to walk there all by himself! The drop off/pick up teachers are awesome - very helpful and patient. We often see one of the seven kindergarten teachers at the grocery store... it's nice to live in a small town where you can actually run into your child's teacher while you're out and about. BES is a great school!
This rating is for the excellent teachers (Mrs. Bartlett, Mrs. Arambel & Ms. Dunning) my son had while he attended in 2008. He's attended a few different schools and these teacher's really knew how to get him to pay attention and want to learn. I really saw a big change in his speech, other people can understand him know. I wish we didn't have to move away from this school. the only thing that i did not like was the bus system, which I understand Buckeye is growing faster than the # of school buses.
This school has too many kids in a class, its dirty, and it's not organized.
This school is excellent. My child was behind at the beginning of the school year and her teachers worked with her and helped her to excel to one of the top performers in her class. The teachers are great! The new principal is excellent as well. Mr. Bartlett is great with the kids and has developed a good relationship with them.
Zero services and helps for my special needs son. This school is a big disappointment for parents of children with Autism or other disabilities.
I was very disappointed with the leadership at this school. Mr. Vargas was rarely ever on campus. I can see why they are underperforming. To have a great school, you must have a great leader.
