My son started kindergarten and I am well pleased with the school and the progress my child made this year. The teacher, teacher's assistant, principal and aides are all involved. I absolutely love this school and would highly recommend it.

This year, our family reached the milestone of having our oldest son start school! It was a scary and exciting time for our family. We felt the choice of school was a very important decision and have been thrilled with MDS! The teachers have been excellent at communication. The community is warm, welcoming, and diverse. My son is flourishing academically and socially. We love the school, the staff, and the community.

We love this school! It is a little gem. And it is rare to find a chartered (free) Montessori. This is a small school which is wonderful because there is a real community atmosphere. There are some great teachers and staff, and it is a great learning environment. As is to be expected of a small school, there are some things lacking; mostly the facility is maxed out with the current population. On the brink of growth, this school could be even more wonderful with a careful forward-thinking vision.

My family has been attending MDS for almost 3 years. The teachers are excellent and give both my daughters the personal attention they need. The teachers work with the strengths of their students and work with me in my children's weaknesses. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer. My older daughter is in 2nd grade and reads on the 4th grade level. She is challenged academically and is given freedom to persue her own learning path. The teachers do a great job in teaching interpersonal skills and problem-solving techniques to the kids. We love it at MDS!

My daughter is a kindergartener at this school, and we are so happy with it. We love the sense of community and how involved parents are. The director is amazing, and the teachers are warm and knowledgable. We feel so, so lucky to have found a Montessori program for our very bright daughter -- and the fact that it's free in kindergarten is an added bouns!

My kindergartner is learning so much so quickly right now. Well don't all kindergartners learn so fast? I think most do, but few have such a great synergy between students, teachers, parents, and staff. The principal and office manager know all the kids individually and many parents are involved with a wide variety of projects at the school. This school is a special family and I'm glad that myself, my wife, and my two daughters are part of it.

Dedicated staff and teachers who have a "vision" for the children and the school community. It's amazing how responsive the entire school is, and when problems arise, they are attended to with care and concern. All questions are asked with the best interests of the child as the primary focus, and decisions are made accordingly. They are growing conscientously and with careful consideration of the impact on the environment, both physically and emotionally.

My son started kindergarten at Montessori Day with basically no prior schooling, within months he is reading to me. I LOVE the small classroom combined with the first graders, the teaching and learning that takes place in this sort of environment is perfect for young eager minds. I have always wanted my children to have a Montessori education, but never imagined it being possible due to the high cost. This Charter School makes it possible for any child ready to think out of the classroom box and dive into a world full of knowledge, creativity, and world awareness.

I am very, very appreciative of the staff. My daughter enjoys her teachers and comes back teaching me what she has learned. I value my daughter greatly and am very satisfied with her school, her daily progress and overall growth.

Both my husband and myself are professors of Education at a major University in Arizona. We were looking for a school that would fit the needs of our youngest son. He had graduated from a very "child centered" pre school and we needed a school that would continue his academic and social growth. We looked at many schools in our area, both public and private. We chose Montessori Day because of their Montessori approach and the wonderful child centered atmosphere. The staff is excellent and truly care about each child's individual growth and development. We are always pleased when our son comes home and actually uses new skills. The school also teaches things other schools don't have time to teach/reinforce such as manners, social responsibility, and respect for the earth. We are most happy with our choice and would recommend this school to parents who want their students to excel not only as academics, but as fully actualized people.
