Sirrine has a new principal, Mrs. Parker who puts students educate and safety number one. She knows students by name and cares about each of them. Sirrine is in good hands!

My son came into Sirrine in the middle of 1 st grade. His first and second grade teachers are wonderful. (Ms. Yuba and Ms. Chavez) They have worked hard to keep me informed of all issues (my son has ADD) and have encouraged him to build confidence in addition to his education. I love that parent evolvement is welcomed and encourged from teachers. The front office is great always willing to help and give parents information. I love this school and will miss it after we move. Our next school has big shoes to fill.

My daughter has attended Sirrine for 3 years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the teachers and the principal. They are caring, friendly and also show that they care by participating in the extra-curricular events the school holds. I do not think I have attended one event that Dr. Reid, the Principal, has not as well. He is approachable and obviously cares about his job and the students. My youngest daughter will be starting school this year and I am so looking forward to her getting an education at Sirrine. My only regret is that she will not be able to have Mrs. Langstaff for first grade, as my first child did, since at the end of this last school year, she retired.

My son has attended Sirrine Elementary from Pre-K through 6th grade. His teachers have been wonderful! This review, however, is to highlight the amazing fine arts program. The fine arts program at Sirrine is by far one of the best in the district. The band, orchestra and choir programs are amazing. We attended a multi-school band program this week; Sirrine students were by far the most prepared. The tone of the instruments, the timing of the pieces, and the complexity of the music showcased just how advanced this elementary school band is. The choir and orchestra programs are just as amazing. Thank you, Janel Huyett and Stephen Wibe for the amazing work you do with our kids!

My son attend Sirrine until 1st grade. His teachers from pre-K to 1st grade are excellent. Mrs. Jensen-preK, Mrs. Troutman-K, Mrs. Langstaff-1st grade. I highly recommend them. My son was challenge at his highest ability, while still enjoying his time at school. We moved and he was transfered to another school. The new school was ranked higher than Sirrine but the teacher is not half as good as Mrs. Langstaff. That make me feel that my son was so lucky to have been able to learn from such outstanding teachers at Sirrine. I am thinking to drive those miles and transfer him back to Sirrine. Maybe I am demanding, but when you learn the difference. It's worth it, because our children deserve the best.

I am the parent of a 1st grader who also attended Sirrine for her kindergarten year. She was a transfer student from Texas and she hated to leave. The teachers where great and always seemed to have my childs best interest at heart. Communication was good and the teachers/principal always made time to address any concerns you may have had. Highly recommended!

This day and age many children have to deal with mixed families, divorces, etc. Sirrine has been a complete pain in the neck in regards to keeping track of custody arrangements in regards to what is and isn't acceptable for the children at their school. My daughter had been a student there for 4 years. She is currently a student of Mrs. G Woo, and while the teachers are excellent in teaching the children a cirriculum, please do more to make sure that you are aware of the parent's roles and responsibilities with your students!

The school focuses on teaching and sharing experiences with the children. The teachers are open and show support for all children. Sirrine is a caring community for all. My daughter has attended since kindergarten, is in the 4th grade now, and loves every minute at school. What parent can argue with that?!

My son has attended sirrine since the 1st grade and it has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are very concerned about each and every one of their students. I knew that if my son was having a problem in a subject...I would get a phone call to set a conference. The teachers and the principal work together to provide a safe and nuturing eviornment. I would highly recommend this outstanding school.

I have a daughter in first grade 2 nieces in 5th,and a nephew in 2nd who all have done really well at sirrine, my older niece was a honor student and cheerleader and has been able to now excel at hendricks, and her sister is also a honor student. Both of my nieces are in band and my daughter wants to start jump rope club next year. This is my niece and nephews first year at sirrine and we were a little worried because the were way behind from there last school, but they have been in school a month now and are doing great, and we are glad that we changed their school because the teachers they now have really care and have given them the push that they needed.

I've had three children attend Sirrine elementary. The teachers are highly qualified, very personable and involved with each child always presenting the children with opportunities to explore new horizons to broaden their knowledge and experience. The most difficult part of moving to a new neighborhood is finding a school that at least comes close to the qualifications this school presents. Thanks to the Sirrine teachers my children have had the opportunity to participate in ELP, win Math Master's and many other awards. This year (04 - 05) we have a new principal and all looks good. All past principals have been super! We're going to miss the friendly Sirrine staff.

Sirrine has a wonderful sense of community. We have many clubs such as jump rope, chess, green thumb, singing hands choir, Sirrine Singers, basketball and Spirit Line. The teachers are very concerned with the children's academic achievements. The class sizes can be a little high.

This once A+ school has succumbed to apathy and lack of integrity. Teachers manipulate truth, power play with parents and generally do not want to accept any feedback unless it's something you agree with them on. Don't let the high scores at this school fool you. The moral example set by the lying and pettiness that gone at this school make you wonder what your child is really learning.

My daughter was doing great in this school, so we thought, until 6th grade, when we found out that her reading scores had been extremely low every since 4th grade. We attended all parent teacher confrences and nothing was ever said to us about a reading problem. Sure wish we were told sooner, it would have made our first year in junior high a little smoother.

My son attended Sirrrine for 5yrs (2nd through 6th grades). The teachers all had a positive impact. The sixth grade teachers pull together and give the children an incredible love for Math/Algebra. There isn't anything the Principal wouldn't do (IE: substitute crossing guard, etc). Now in a different school my son is an officer for his student council, and brings home honor roll certificates. He wants to study Law. I am pleased with Sirrine Elementary!
The school is fantastic. Mrs. Iverson is my son'e teacher. I love that lady. She is the best teacher I have ever seen. I'm sad that my son is moving soon.
I have three children attending sirrine and have been really pleased with the quality of the teachers. They also have a large extracurricular activities program with clubs for everyone. PTO leadership is great and support a carnival as a fundraiser each spring.
