Social emotional skills development NVCE develops social skills in every area of a child's school day. Social development happens not just at recess or when a child is at play, it happens in math class, while reading, during art, and through communication with both their peers and teachers.
Math skills development Math skills include reasoning, number sense and manipulating numbers in many ways. Success in math is a combination of instruction, application, and discovery. All are important in building a child’s confidence, competence and love of math.
Speech development Children develop speech during the rich study of language, through books, through oral language, through whole words and then by taking words apart.
Reading skills development We teach an early understanding of language, both receptive and expressive. We teach phonics and language in class and have a designated reading teacher assigned to each of our preschool classrooms (as well as through Grade 6).
