I've gone to basha for 2 years now and I think it is one of the best high schools in arizona! The teachers are really cool and there are lots of classes for peoples different interests. The sports and band are very successful also. For the most part the students are really nice too. The administration isn't too strict but they do enforce the rules which is good
I have one child who graduated from Basha and one still attending on open enrollment. The school has been such a positive experience for the whole family. Mr James, the principal is always visable and very involved. My children have been involved in sports, clubs, honors classes and much more and we love the school spirit! Several teachers and advisors have gone above and beyond to help my children succeed. I feel Basha High offers a well rounded education. Both of my children earned the AIMS waiver due to their educational experience and still had fun in sports much more.

I've been very impressed with Basha H.S so much so that my son will be attending his senior year as an open enrollment student. We live in the Higley School Distrcit, but there is no way we'd pull our son out of Basha. We've had nothing but positive experiences with the administration and faculty. Also my son is taking mostly AP or Honors courses and we find that the teachers go above and beyond when it comes to preparing our students for secondary education and the "real life." I have 5 additional children that I look forward to attending Basha in the future! Go Basha Bears!!!!

Both of my children attended Basha and both enjoyed the experience. They both have also been accepted to a top 10 University on full ride for Academics, not sports. I think the school has a great mix of Sports, Advanced Academics, and Arts.

I am currently a sophmore at Basha High School and am receiving an excellent education that meets my advanced level of learning. Basha is not a good fit for every teen, but is a perfect fit for me.

I've been a parent at BHS for the past 4 years, my daughter is a Senior. I have been very pleased with Basha. My daughter has taken mostly Honor and AP classes and I've found her to have extremely passionate teachers that are willing to go the extra mile to help those students who want to excell! What more can you ask for? I'm very active at the school and love that parents are welcome to be involved and I feel that makes a difference as well. The kids (for the most part) are respectful and well mannered. Keep up the great work Basha! Go Bears!

Hey, parent, I go to the school. And if our ratings are good that means we're getting stuff done. Besides, students don't get away with whatever they want. I'm a senior this year and this year especially, the rules are getting tighter. And that's a good thing. Basha's been a great experience for me, for the education and the life lessons. I'm proud to say I'm graduating from Basha.

Basha is a great place for kids who want to be social, not a great place for kids to learn. Students are allowed to do whatever they want in the classrooms, including talking, being disrespectful to the teachers and otherwise making the learning environment difficult for those who want to learn. The teachers do not have support when it comes to discipline issues. As a parent and teacher (for the last 17 years) I think it is very sad what our schools have come to. The stats look good when compared to other districts, but when you see for yourself and your kids tell you what goes on, it's a totally different perspective.

Can't say enough positive things about the leadership and teachers at the school. Our kids are enthusiastic about learning and have skills that will help in college and beyond.

There is too much focus on Athletics and sports. Academics too often takes a back seat to sports, especially football. The administration is trying too hard to be better than hamiltons football program, and it is costing the students.

The AP and honors teachers care and the principal is visible every morning outside. There is absolutely no reason any child should fail with so many resources.

Basha has it's problems, but what high school doesn't? Bahsa's Principal, staff and students are amazing! I have never been around people with as much school spirit and the motivation Bahsa Bears has. GO BHS BEARS!

The athletic politics are a major problem. To accept inexperienced and who you know players over visablly talented and more experienced players with high grades says alot about the fairness and integrity of this high school. What are you representing as adults and coaches? The athletic department and teachers need to be re-evaluated and instucted in balanced, fair criteria shown for each student, but it has to start with the administration and raising the standards of excellent in unbiased evaluations.
Great opening of school! Students looked happy and excited to begin their school year. Very professional Administration and Office personnel. The one thing I am truely happy with is communicating with my son's teachers by E-mail. School Campus is very clean and inviting, I truely believe this is going to be one of my son's BEST Years at Basha High School.

The Principal is leaving and that is a good thing. She has never been proactive and has always overreacted when certain situations arose. Some of the teachers feel that they are entitled and are not there for the right reasons. Next year will be interesting with a new principal. Hopefully, they can bring Basha around to being a good school.

There are some great people at Basha, but the administration is going through some changes. The principal, who we think is great is leaving and the current people in the running scare me. Maybe some racial issues with some of the secondary administrators.

Basha has contemporary style and teaching methods. A great opportunity for aspiring young students and athletes.

I think Basha is an overall good school but I think the teachers there are too young and rude.

Some of the teachers seem to be into teaching for all the wrong reasons.I have a sophomore and a junior and have been displeased with teachers each year. Admin.needs to get a grip and address these teachers.
