I have just read 5 comments from parents with children at Bogle. I am in disbelief of the negative comments. I moved my children here little more than 2 years ago from New England, and I am a parent who has had 2+ years involvement with Bogle. The reason we moved to Ocotillo was because of the support I received from the Principal, Sharon Kenyon, prior to our move.

If you had a child that attended Bogle and had problems you should file a complaint with the Department of Education, it works!! They are starting to pay attention. This school needs to be looked at by the district and done quickly. The district is aware of problems and is choosing to ignore them. If you have a special needs student, put them somewhere else!

I absolutely agree with all the comments. My son was a straight A student and when he got to 7th grade He had to go to summer school because those teachers know nothing of education. I am so angry for what they had done to him. He got angry, and I couldn't blame him. They are slipping through the system and I think its time we all did something about it. Those teachers have no guidance or leadership behind them. And yes they sit on there computers and do nothing! Why can't they copy Jacobsons Elementary, they got it going ! If you are thinking of sending your child there, don't!

this school has no idea on what it is doing, there is no boundry line for the students, they are basicly free to do whatever they want. I've seen the teachers, they are disorganized and they sit a the computer all day long, how do we expect our children to pass in such an enviroment.

I would agree with the previous assessment of the principle. I have a special needs child and everytime I push back to enforce my child's accomodations, he is treated just awful. Our family will be filing a discrimination suit once our child is out of this school. I would say if your child fits the mold the average child fits in it is an ok school, however if you have a special needs child....'we don't have the resources' will be the response over and over.

I am of the opinion that the principal of Bogle Jr. High has no regard for the individual needs of the students.

About the tests

In 2013-2014 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. GreatSchools' profiles currently show AIMS mathematics, reading and writing results. 2013 AIMS grade 10 results represent on-track 10th graders for the 2013 test year. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
