All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

My grandson has been attending this school for two years now. At his last school, his grades suffered and he had no friends. Now that he is here at Paragon, he has come out of his shell. Mrs. Tanya is always there to help us with a smile. He loves his turkish teacher and his history teacher. We have had a few hiccups with his science teacher this year, but Mr Pearce has been a great help to us with that issue and always lets my grandson come to his office to chat about whats bothering him. I would like to name all of the great staff members at this school, but I am running out of space and time. Keep up all the great work.!

My Daughter has been going here for three years now and has found out that her favorite teacher is leaving. She loves Mr. Harts class and looks forward to it everyday. She may not get all "A' in the class, but she works hard to get the grades that she has earned. I know my daughter and I will miss having him teach her next year. We hope he'll change his mind. A few people I also want to take the time to recognize include Mr Yasin who worked very hard to get my daughter a schedule that really worked for her and helping us get her grades up. Miss Tanya who is like a second mother to my daughter and truly cares about the kids. Mr. Smith is always trying to push those kids to work harder. Mr Pierce, who reminds me of a grumpy old sea captain, takes time out of his schedule to play catch with my daughter so she can feel better when she's down. Overall, I love this school and my daughter has never been happier at a school.

Paragon is a GREAT school. My daughter and I are so happy there. They have very dedicated teachers. We came back from overseas and she started at Paragon at the middle of the school year and a couple of teachers stayed with her after class to help her catch up with some courses for a few weeks. She felt supported. As soon as you get in the office you feel welcome by Mrs. Matthews, a lovely person who literally know every kid in the school. The true is that everybody is very nice, the principal, teachers and the students; they are very well behaved. The school is very focus in preparing the students for college; they have a high quality education and the discipline the kids need.

Finding Paragon was a true blessing to us and our son! After speaking with Tara there when I first called I knew this is where he belonged. We had issues with his last middle school due to the lack of teachers concern and teachers there to even help him. They made him feel he was not good enough and downed his self esteem. At Paragon they understand each child is different and learn in different ways. They have great support there for him with the subjects he may be struggling with. His support teacher Ms. Olson is AMAZING and my son is doing much better and happier hence we are! My son says ALL the teachers he has are nice and he feels "accepted" there. I love the small family feel and you can see how much Paragon and it's awesome staff believe in their students and helping them excel! I can't express enough Gratitude for this school and the happy relief we feel knowing our child is finally where is wanted, accepted and cared about. :)

This school knows how to have an event! They had a expo yesterday and it was amazing. Hats off to Mrs. Tara and Tonya who I'm sure we're the backbone of the event. To Mr. Pierce who gave my friend a great tour and was so much fun. To the kids and their amazing demonstrations. That fire tornado was so cool. And who knew I could start a fire with just steel wool and a battery. My kids loved the whole thing. They are still talking about mister pierce breaking boards with his bare hands. Great job Paragon! Go Panthers!

Paragon science Academy is the answer to my prayers! The school really works with the families and its students to make it the best possible educational experience around. There are so many people to thank at PSA starting at the front desk. Ms Matthews is so kind and helpful. She always has a smile for everyone. Mr. Pierce is out front in the morning to keep things smooth and greats everyone. He is also there at the end of the day. Ms Seda is a dedicated teacher and Ms Richardson is so positive and encouraging. Ms Elif is always doing something with my child for Science Olympiad. My only concern is the cleanliness of the school. The bathrooms and floors are always dirty but I remind my self that not part of learning. I hope that PSA continues to grow and that the students prosper. Thank you to all of the staff.

My 4th grade daughter loves coming here. We were a little concerned that she might struggle with the high academic standards but the teachers have helped her every step of the way. Mrs. Mathews has help make the school feel like a home. Mrs. Richardson makes the classroom feel inviting and fun. My daughter thinks of her as a second mother. Mrs. Johnson keeps my daughter accountable for her work. Mr. Pearce keeps my daughter safe and the school bully free. Mr. Selim keeps the school running perfectly. We'll never take my daughter out of this school.

I am so happy I attend a school where students all get along. I fit in and so do all the other students. We have amazing teachers that teach more than the subject they are assigned to teach. They teach us life lessons and how to use critical thinking to better life and those around us. If you are looking for a school that is 8-3 this is not the place for you. Why? Well there is always something going on!! From movie night to basketball to CMLP. We had our first student vs teachers basket ball game for the heart association yesterday! So much fun!!! Thank you Ms Matthews for making it fun and making us laugh and thank you ms tara for the awesome shirts! Teacher may have win this round but watch out next time! This year has been so much fun and I have learned a lot! I am proud of my school! And I am proud to say I am a PARAGON PANTHER! special shot out to ms Elif and the science Olympiad team! #cant touch this! <3 this school!

This is my son's first year and going great. The size of the school is great as they know your child by name and the parents. Always friendly and professional. Activies always going on, sometimes not a heads up but better than never. Excited that Coach Smith started a basketball team and hope to see more, it is a great addition to the school for a sports program and more opportunities. Love the CoolSis website and app that I can see grades, behavior, and attendance in an instant. Always got good reviews from other parents before signing up my son. Glad we chose Paragon!

My son and daughter have been going here for 3 years now. My wife and I would never think about moving them to another school. The teachers truly care about their students. The secretaries make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. Mr. Pearce is always outside at the end of the day and lets me know how my kids are doing. Mrs Galloway keeps us up to date on our sons progress. And Mr. Smith is an energetic man who both my kids love. This is the only school my kids will ever attend.

I LOVE this school. My son goes here and we wouldn't consider putting him anywhere else. Other than an issue with changing two teachers mid-year. I love this place. I want to shout out to the office staff and the principals. They rule! They also have a great art teacher.

I love this school! My daughters love going here and I love the way the staff treats us. I want to give credit to a few of the staff members. Mrs. Tonya is so friendly and she always greets the parents and kids when they come in. Mrs Tara is always at the forefront of the schools activities. She is so sweet. Miss Richardson and Mrs Johnson who are so sweet to my daughter but hold her accountable. Mr. Howell and Mr. Hart who keep my other daughter questioning the world and trying to make it better. Mr. Pierce for keeping the school safe and running smoothly. And finally, Mr. Selim for being such a great principal.

What a great school! They offer so many programs for my children both during school and after school. They have clubs that are free or of little charge. They have tutoring if my child needs extra assistance or missed a subject. They encourage their students to do their best and accomplish anything they set their minds to doing. For the younger students they have leggo club, odessy of the mind, gate, orchestra, math counts, ASTEM, and even girl scouts. For the older students they have jewelry, performing arts, science Olympiad (best program ever!). I would caution the robot program. They will not let new students into the program and the teacher is rude when asked why or when. He just says ten only. My son is waiting for his turn and hopes next year. Check out this school! The kids are great, office staff is friendly as well as helpful and the teachers are there to teach! Great concept! It is a very diverse population! We value that aspect and hope for our future relations in this world. There is homework and difficult classes and my children never come home and are not able to tell me what they learned today! They love school! Thank you Paragon! Go Panthers!

I am a student at paragon science academy and I would not want to go to another school. The school is a place where I feel my voice is heard and I am important. I am involved in many programs at PSA and I have developed many quality relationships with other students as well as the teachers. I have been encouraged to go for my dreams and reach for the stars. If you are wondering if this school is for my child look no farther! There is a lot of homework and the classes are not easy! If you want easy go to another school. Many of us joke that we are self proclaimed geeks and nerds...laugh now but we will be your boss when we grow up! Seriously thank you Mom and Dad for taking me to PSA and thank you PSA for making it a great School! Look out world here we come!

Paragon Science Academy is an excelling school with a focus on STEM education. The teachers here go above and beyond to help each child excel to their highest potential. Here at PSA we challenge children and have high expectations so that in the future they will succeed. MAP testing helps the staff place your child in the best class that will enrich learning, challenge them, and foster new and improved skills. We test students three times during the school year to make sure they are progressing. I can personally tell you that students who go to PSA are years ahead of what a regular curriculum path can give them. However, this school may not be for everyone, but it is worth giving it a try. If you seek a great sports program, I advise that you go elsewhere. We are highly focused on Math and Science. So come check the school out anytime and hopefully we can welcome you and your child or children to the Paragon Panther Family.

As a family we are very happy with the school. The positive environment starts the moment you walk into the school. Ms Matthews is at the front desk and remembers every student and their names as well as their grades. I am more amazed when she calls me by name and asks about my child before I give her a name. Ms Tara is always there when ever there is an issue with lunch or the bus. The teachers are very caring and go beyond to assist the students in learning. The students are from all walks of life and represent the differences in the world. They have added several new staff this year and this has added to the educational process. Coach Smith has also encouraged my student to go out for supports and stay active. Mr. Hart has encouraged my student to think outside of the box and not settle on easy. Ms Tisher expands my childs ability in GATE. I love this school. Thank you PSA!

Have had my children at this school for 3 years now. We took the eldest out (in the hopes to try another charter school) but he wore us down and we brought him back within a month. We felt Paragon had the academics, positive environment and good high school programs so why look elsewhere. A school needs to be well rounded. Paragon Science Academy has recently added sports teams - thanks to their wonderful Coach Smith! The school having sports teams as well as teams in Robotics, Science Olympiads, Math Counts, etc shows Arizona this school has it all! Congratulations - and all the best to many more accolades in all the various activities Paragon Science Academy pursues.

My daughter has been coming here for 3 years now and she'd die if we tried to take her somewhere else. He teachers are so caring, professional, and respectful. Paragon Science Academy is a small charter school with a focus on STEM education. The teachers are fantastic. They go above and beyond to help your child excel. They are always willing to work with you to help your child live up to her highest potential. The Gifted Program is outstanding. The Gifted Instructor inspires her students and challenges them with interesting, thought provoking projects. The school administration is responsive to parents requests. The office staff is friendly and always helpful. In addition to the great academics, the school also offers a wonderful assortment of cllubs. Odyssey of the Mind, Science Olympiad, A-Stem, Orchestra and Kung Fu (taught by a Shaolin Monk), are just some of the available clubs. My children and I love this school and highly recommend it to all of our friends!

This is a small school, great for kids who don't do well in crowded and largely populated places. I feel that Paragon lets all kids out of their shell, because everyone is interconnected with each other. Teachers are caring people, and work very hard to improve. This is a very diverse school too. What I don't like about Paragon are the last minute notices and sometimes showing lack of care to certain issues. But of the 5 years I've been going to this school, I've excelled greatly and cannot imagine how I would've survived anywhere else (I'm a bit afraid expressing myself). :)

This school is deceiving to the eye, they seem so nice and smart, and have a nice disciplinary system. On the inside its all a joke. The school is not serious, they are picking on students, and classes. They never know to learn to give a second chance, and they always are very like they have their eyes on a students; students every second, and they don't know how to resolve a problem.

Paragon is perfect school for students who are looking for a challenge in a safe and nurturing environment. Paragon has grown significantly over the past 4 years and now it is ready to give its first graduates in May 2014. AP and Dual-Enrollment programs are offered to HS students and school has a big focus on college-prep. STEM education becomes real here at Paragon as students have a number of club opportunities where they can actually apply their skills in a competitive setting. If you are looking for a gret STEM and college-prep school, please check out Paragon Science Academy!

This school year is the fourth year since my children are going to paragon. When it comes to academics, I have had no issue or doubt about it. I think my kids are receiving private school academics for free. Students come everyday ready to learn and teachers are always wearing their tap shoes and ready to teach. What more can I ask for? As for as the management goes, yes...there were times when I decided to pull my children from school but then I always weighed my options. Paragon has best teachers, should I worry too much about management. I have made my peace with it. I love the the fact that management makes teachers work for their students and provide the best curriculum and effective instruction. Their progress monitoring is always on the roll and always available to listen to parents' concerns. For me, this school is an all time five star!!!!

I have taught in the public schools prior to coming to PSA and nothing compares to my experience here! The parents are involved and the teachers are qualified and passionate. PSA is an open book, so if a parent wants to see a teacher s credentials, they are available in the office. The administration is easily accessible if any problems arise. All you have to do is calmly email or call the administration to discuss the situation. I would advise that any students looking for an athletics emphasis look elsewhere, since PSA has limited resources at this time in that department (there is a gym class and sports clubs, but no official sports teams). If your student is not tolerant of others beliefs or is not mature enough to handle the high expectations the PSA staff and administration places on its students, this is not your school. This is no perfect school, and true, PSA has been experience growing pains. However, you will find this to be true with any other school or business. If you are looking for small classes with a curriculum that will push your kid to the next level, check out Paragon Science Academy.

Paragon Science Acamemy is just a name now academics are very poor, teachers are not qualfied and have not any expirence for teaching ,because the high population they work with student they already know and ignore the rest of the class the big issue that we think that diversity is good but we show diffrent kinds of bulling, bad words by many languages also teachers and tow principals are ignoring parents concerns some of parents but not all and this is a big????? also No nurse, social worker school is missing alot of basics things.

This is the third year my son has been a student of Paragon Jr/Sr High. He is gifted and ADHD. I feel removing my son from the Kyrene School District and placing him at Paragon was one of the most important decisions I made for his continued success. Classes are very small and staff make every effort to work with you and your child. The atmosphere is very positve with acceptance for diversity. Many charter schools seem to have a high population of students who have difficulty 'making it' in public school. This is not true for the student population at Paragon. Most students value the education they are receiving and show this through their hard work and positive attitudes. I do agree that at times there can be some language barriers but feel that it can also be seen as life experince in which students can learn and grow from. I also do understand that the JR/SR high just opened last year and there will be a learning curve for all staff and administration. I plan to continue to have my son enrolled in Paragon through HS unless they fail to offer Dual Enrollment for college credit. I feel this would be an appropriate asset for families that value higher education.

This is a wonderful school which promotes Math, Science, and technology. I am a parent of 4th and a 7th grader and I am very happy with the school. The school has a wonderful science department and very dedicated teachers who were chosen as the Teacher of the Year in 2010 by AZSEF Science Fair Organization. Principal is very friendly and visible/reachable. The students are challenged at all levels and there are a lot of after school activities which usually extend to weekends. It is hard to believe that there are teachers who spend their weekends for our kids. The diversity welcomes everyone to the school and kids learn different cultures. It is the third year of the school and it opened a new campus for middle and high school students as there is a big demand to this school in Chandler area. I definitely recommend the school to anyone.

Administration is not able to manage the student population or the parents. They are not qualified to run a school. 3 principals in 3 years???? Ask to see their resumes and qualifications as well as teachers resumes. Most teachers are new and are not hired until just a few weeks before school starts. After 2 years we ran from this school!

We had high hopes going into Paragon, and had heard good things. However, our experience has had some language and communication barriers as most teachers' primary language is Turkish. Generally the teachers do seem qualified and passionate but a few stand out as not at all qualified for teaching their subject! There is huge lack of communication and lack of organization among the administration. Office staff need some training on how to create a welcoming environment. The only thing that my child has enjoyed is the art program at Paragon. Definitely do your homework before enrolling your student.

Paragon Science Academy is a new-born Charter school in Chandler, AZ. It is one of the best Science, Math and Technology focused schools in Phoenix, AZ. The teachers are very passionate. They teach first and then challange the kids through a lot of afterschool programs and bring the classroom content to a reality. The students learn and apply it and it is a real-life application of science teaching. The communication between teachers and parents is unbelievable. I am sure every child and parent will be happy in this school since they accommodate everyone's needs.

My child has been at Paragon last year and will definitely go back for this school year. Academics are very strong, teachers are dedicated, and students are willing and ready to learn. It is not for everyone, you must want to work and achieve, not just slide by. I think with added students this year it can only get better. Parent involvement is a must, funds need to be raised for lab equipment, and many extras that budget cuts have effected. Try this school, it will meet your expectations.

Hello parents that check it out, it is good that you do this. We have two children at Paragon, one in elementary and the other in middle school. We couldn't be happier with both. As it is a new school, we would be suspicious if it was perfect. Growing pains are to be expected and normal. The staff and administration deal with issues as they arise, and strive to make it better. They are very dedicated. This is the very first school where my children have been challenged. The oldest progress is monitored through the year (3 MAPS & AIMS) We hold a high regard and respect for the teachers, and academics. The possibilities of learning here are almost endless, depending on the child's willingness and openness to excel. I will say, Paragon is not for everyone. Their student body wants to be there and, they want to learn, and they want the challenge. Simple - I would not have my children attend any other school.

I too have the same concerns. In the beginning they promoted the fact that they would do progress testing (MAP) throughout the year. To date I have not seen nor heard of any testing so far. I am looking at putting my son back into the Kyrene school system, which I seriously hope Paragon did not hurt his progress.
