Completely Happy! My kids (1st & 4th )and I are so happy with this school, staff and attention to each child. We live in San Tan Valley and I drive them to school each day on my way in to work because I love this school so much. Mrs. Carr is by far an amazing teacher, Mrs. Winkleman is an awesome, very approachable principal with a true open door policy! The front office staff are friendly and genuinly care about the families of their students. So far the teachers that we have had seemed to have challenged my kids to their full potential and offer help where needed. They are great at communicating with me throughout the day when needed and I can alwasy go to them with a concern and have them listen and help resolve. Choosing Brisas was the best decision for our children.

my daughter switched from another Kyrene school and I am totally in love with this place! the principles are amazing and lead with such ease and the teachers actually love their job and love the kids!!! You can see it in the way they are and the way the kids come home everyday so happy. Ms. Koshick is phenomenal!!! I'm excited for my child to start her second year there this upcoming year and for my little oif only other schools would learn from them thne to start kindergarten here. This is truly a wonderful caring school. I can't say enough about the way they run this place!

I have a daughter in her 3rd year at Brisas and a son in preschool. The teachers have all been amazing! The principal is extremely proactive, involved, and honestly cares about giving the kids nothing but the best education. They truly strive for excellence and take all parent questions and concerns to heart. I have seen numerous changes over the last 3 years; all of which were to improve the overall quality of education and safety of the kids. With that being said the best part of Brisas is the school spirit which is nurtured through a teaching of core values of respect, honesty and integrity. Kids are truly taught the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have done to you. I volunteer at least twice a week and am astounded by the level of respect the kids show for each other, their school, and their teachers. This obviously trickles down from a phenomenal involved principle to the teachers and the students! Bravo Brisas!

Brisas is a wonderful and welcoming school! The teachers are top notch and the administration is phenomenal! We requested an out-of-boundary exception just to attend this school. We LOVE Brisas!

The teachers at this school are amazing and the admin is very attentive. The school has very safe atmosphere and feels like a community. We are happy both our boys are going there. My younger con was entering early Kindergarten and was much younger than his peers but his teacher Mrs. Patty Foster was the ideal teacher. the whole class was happy, healthy, bright and really well disciplined!

Kyrene de las Brisas cares about the whole child. They ensure there are activities and programs to enhance your child academically, socially and physically. I heard horror stories from other parents about dealing with their kids schools and teachers and have been nothing but impressed by the staff at Kyrene de las Brisas. A key element that brought me to this conclusion was the amount of school spirit each kid feels from Kindergarten up. My son was singing the school anthem the first week he came home. Now in first grade the spirit continues.

We love Brisa's. I can't say enough good about the school. We have been very happy with all the teachers and the staff. Parent involvement is very high. The extra activities that are offered are some of the best. We love the drama program, mallet masters, and so many of the class led activities such as the 50's dance, Pumpkin Walk, Carnival and Multicultural night are excellent.

I have been at this school for 4 years and have loved every minute of it. My children are doing very well. The preschool program is wonderful, love that my children get art, principal, music, computer lab, and library time. Every teacher and every staff member is always so willing to help each child, it is truly a community and we love it. The events are so much fun; carnival, sock hop, there is something every month. The principal, is wonderful...so positive, so nice and really knows what the children and classrooms need. Love the school, love the school district, love living in the neighborhood!

Brisas is an excellent school. The faculty, administration, students and parents are truly a community. The school has a new prinicpal this year and the transition was seemless. Students are given many opportunities that other elementary schools are not, including a drama program. The school takes extra steps in prevention and have a vested intrest in each child, especially those children struggling to read and write. In addition to the Read Naturally Program the school has a wonderful K-3 program that works with those children that need extra support in the classroom.

This school is incredible in the quality of teachers, facilities, and everything it has to offer. Starting with a wonderful Kindergarten program rich with field trips and applied learning, the educational experience continues on throughout the higher grades. There is a great deal of school pride, parental involvment, and community activities. Every month a different grade sponsors a community event such as an ice cream social, pumpkin walk, carnival, etc. The amount of academic material that my child has learned has astonished me, and the teachers are eager to work with the parents. I am a high school teacher myself, and very critical, but couldn't be happier with this school.

Quality of academic programs is very good. Availability of music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities is great. Parent and student involvement makes it a family affair rather than an isolated effort. Parents are well educated and well informed and take deep interest in their childrens' academic and extracurricular activities. Teachers are open minded and hardworking. Peggy Warren has been a great asset to this school with her mutual respect fot her teachers as well as the parents. Over all a great place for my children to grow and learn. Level of parent involvement is maximized by teachers' openness and accomodations. Great coming together of all that is good and valuable in our education system today. I highly recommend it plus the middle school also. High family values and attention to building character and education together.

Brisas is a good school, although it is rather large. Academics are challenging, teachers are communicative and there are many options as far as extracurricular activies.

Although there are better schools in the Kyrene district, De Las Brisas is on the high end of the spectrum. It has a diverse student population and provides an array of activities for students to become involved.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10.
