I would have to give it four stars because the students and teachers are great.

Considering the efforts of the business manager and school board to downgrade the school and its staff, CJHS is doing a phenomenal job!

Once promoted as the District school teaching best, it is now the last District school with a non-performing rating. As soon as the District can motivate the staff to change and focus on teaching State Standards instead of resisting efforts of the administration to upgrade the schools teaching, this may change.

i think that chinle schools are pretty good but you need to make better roads and than that will help students go to school and not stay home and say that they are bored. The teachers are great they are teaching the students to learn alot more and have fun while being in school. Because most students don't go to a school like that. It's hard to me. Because i'm in a boarding school and we don't really have fun.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
