My grandson has attended the school since its construction. He will graduate this year with an excellent education and also with a sense of personal pride and ethics that will serve him well in continuing education and all his life. This school has done an outstanding job and the community should take note and join our efforts to keep Congress Elementary at the top of the scale.

My children have been attending this school since Kindergarten. For a small rural school, they have been amazing at getting the resources in both technology and quality teachers to give my children the best possible education. I am grateful to be a part of this community and to have my children attend Congress Elementary School.

We really are preparing our students for the world they will be working and living in. We are instilling a foundation of service and hardwork in each of our students and they are flourishing in this environment.

Toni Wayas, the sole administrator, works tirelessly to hire the very best teachers in the world and empowers them to do what is right for kids! Each student in K-8 has a laptop to take home to complete assignments; students are held to the highest standard of achievement and the atmosphere at the school is one of learning, respect, self confidence for students and everyone there is treated with the utmost regard.

For being small rural school in Arizona, the fact that it is among the few public elementary schools in Arizona to receive a distinguished GreatSchools Rating of 9 out of 10, says it all!

I am a student at C.E.S and since we students have been silenced by our peers, I am writing this review about Congress Elementary. My teacher, Dr. Dean is the most excellent teacher. She used to sub for 7th and 8th grades, but now she is the 7th grade teacher. She teaches the kids what they need to learn, and we have fun learning. She makes it so enjoyable. Dr. Dean really cares about her students. Mrs. Wayas, my principal is a strict leader who has a stressful position with loads of decisions to make about our school

I am sadden that a few parents who opposed the decision for implementation of uniforms feel the need to discredit a wonderful school. The administration is not against the parents/community members. They do an excellent job of communicating to parents. Parents need to read the paperwork brought home from their children and participate in the school board meetings. If they are still confused, call the school. Education is the first prioity - not social image.
