My kids both go to this school and its very challenging and go to school 5 days a week... its very hard and if your kids dont do well or they get in trouble they WILL kick them out of school.. i want my kids to have the best and this is the best school...with super high expectations of their students and that is what i expect out of my children aswell.. i suggest this school for anyone wanting their children to have the BEST EDUCATION POSSIBLE!

The teachers are well trained and have very high expectations of their students. My daughter truly felt safe and loved while she took risks in her learning. I could not ask for a better learning environment for my daughter. Every staff member seems to be proud of what they do and that pride is contagious to the kids!

Some parts of this school are good. However, class sizes are too big, the teachers seem far too busy to help individual students and the budget cuts are making these problems even worse. My children will not be attending this school next year. It has not given us what we need.

This is an amazing school. The Teachers are well-trained, experienced, enthusiastic and truly dedicated. Each child receives individual attention and support. My child LOVES going there and looks forward to each day at school. She even loves doing her homework!

Small campus where everyone knows all the children by name. Very family-oriented. Don't judge this school by it's test scores.

Excellent public school in every way- homey setting, good mix of kids in each class, friendly, professional, caring staff, many fun activities to enhance kids' learning and self- esteem-- most importantly-- teachers teaching students the way they need to learn, not expecting kids to jump through 'one size fits all' hoops, without regard to individual needs. I appreciate this school so much. Kjk

The academic progams are outstanding! I went to this school and we learned multiplication in second grade. We did plays and we also had lots of activities. Not in a bad way that there was a lot I mean that there was a lot of fun positive activities we did to improve the skills you learn through out your life. Music always has had a choir performance usually at the end of the year. Art was not always the dynamic thing we learned. It was there, usually in the classroom , but there wasn't a seperate class. Sports was always one main thing durring recess mostly everyones ya know playing basketball, flag football, or kickball. In gym we learned a lot of different fun games and excercises to keep us fit. When ever there was a dance or party they would ask the parents if they would want to participate.

About the tests

In 2013-2014 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. GreatSchools' profiles currently show AIMS mathematics, reading and writing results. 2013 AIMS grade 10 results represent on-track 10th graders for the 2013 test year. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
