I used to teach at the high school and I am warning you now. Do not go here! Half way thru the year they let about 25% of the teaching staff go due to funding. There was no warning and teachers were left to fend for themselves. The principal was fired later that year for incompetence.

well I really cant grade the school the but the district in general has a )retention rate? How can that be? This is caused by administration letting the school board dictate to them to let kids stay in school.....but on the same hand the parents do not get involved with the school because they have a million excuses why they dont support there students......no one at all seems to care about the students graduating and going into the real world.....they let them be tardy,,,they let them leave school all the time.....and no one wants to accountable at all! I want everyone to know to come to GUSD and get on the parents and teachers backs! Parents also need to realize in the real world people dont take excuses for being late or doing a sub par job!Parents and the school need to quit crying over trivial stuff and get our kids educated.....I think all the people are all lax and I hope the state will come in and take over because Ganado kids are getting ripped off.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
