Teacher and principal interaction with students is wonderful. The school has caring and hardworking teachers. My children are able to stay after school and work on homework or get extra help in those difficult subjects. They enjoy participating in all the fun activities such as Power House, pajama days and Festivals.

I think San Tan has a lot of heart! The teachers and principal all care about each student. I walk my children and I see the principal out directing traffic each day. It will be a huge loss when he leaves.

This school is doing very well, compared to other schools in this small district. I hope the rest of district will soon catch up because the Principal of San Tan is going to be the next superintendent of the Higley School District. The school focuses alot on fun activities that promote school spirit. My daughter enjoyed it alot.

They promote positive values & messages, I see all of the faculty getting involved w/the kids each day, they offer lots of extracurricular activities, lots of 'family and student' events. So far I've been very pleased and impressed.

I have found this principal unresponsive to person issues.

About the tests

In 2013-2014 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. GreatSchools' profiles currently show AIMS mathematics, reading and writing results. 2013 AIMS grade 10 results represent on-track 10th graders for the 2013 test year. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
