The Teachers here were great but the principles did not care about keeping students safe. The bus system was not proper either. Students had to use a bus pass to ride the bus. If the student did not have his/her bus pass, he/she was suspended from the bus for 5 days. My son is very forgetful and would forget and would have to walk accross the freeway to get to school. I did not agree with this system. The principle does nothing. Not enough teachers too many subs.

The teachers are kind and caring. My son is in a safe, respectful, consistant environment. I am impressed with the amount of communication between his teacher and myself.

I love my daughter's teacher. She is in kindergarten and I can't believe all the stuff she has learned. I also like the fact that because she is ahead of other students that they send her to another class for reading instead of reviewing stuff she already knows.

Administration has demonstrated little responsibility for discipline problems at the school. Admin., teacher's, and staff need to be more accountable for student misbehaviour. They need to determine cause for disruptions and not take the easy way out an ignore proglems. Admin. needs to follow up with more rigorous discipline and guage its effectiveness or ineffectiveness.

My sons first grade teacher has gone out of her way to provide the best education for him. We had discussed his behavior and development. We knew he would need help in both areas. She guided us in the right direction as to what steps to take next. She took all the right steps and now my son is making remarkable improvements. We send many thanks to all the teachers and staff for making such a positive impact on education.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. GreatSchools' profiles currently show AIMS mathematics, reading and writing results. 2013 AIMS grade 10 results represent on-track 10th graders for the 2013 test year. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
