My kids have been coming here since kinder garden. Was up with there teachers until this school year. My youndest is now getting failing grades he is now in 6th and is currently on a IEP. Too many kids are in a class room, he is not getting the help he needs. He has been on honor roll or principles list these past years until this year. Made complaints and also comments on additional help to teachers and principle with nothing being done. Its sad to know that other teachers agree and stated to move up the ladder if your voice is not being heard!
Arroyo is THE BEST school I have ever had my son at. They care so much for the kids. Arroyo has the best Principal this school is so blessed to have him. Mr.Lilies is amazing and caring. The school staff is wonderful.
My son attends Arroyo, do to very hard times w lost almost everything. I was so close to being homless, didnt have money or transportation to get my son to school. The New Principle heard about our situation stepped in and the last few days had came to our new home to take my son to school. In other words education is very important which showed Top Leader As a Principle with True Detication!!!
My daughter and nephew have attended Arroyo for the past 5 years and they love it! The teachers are always available to help them out when needed as well as to the parents who may have any concerns. I have attended many assemblies/events and they are well organized. Parents are strongely encouraged to be involved with their children and their education. The principal shows great leadership!
Mrs. Oliver (kindergarten) and Pat MacArthur (principal) are both amazing woman whom I respect very much. Also I am thankful to have my son at this school. Along with the rest of the teachers and staff this is a great school!! Thanks You Arroyo!
My grandchildren attend Arroyo School and I'm very excited to learn that Arroyo has become a performing plus school!! This was announced on July 29, 2009. With the leadership, teachers, and support staff this was made possible! Great job.
arroyo has gone from performing plus to underperforming under the new principals leadership. My daughter complains that the principal is very rude and overbearing
arroyo elementary is a great school. my daughter has been a student there for 5 years great outcome! great teachers and assistants.awesome!
Arroyo school has improved immensely the past couple years, this I believe is primarily due to a very pro active very involved and highly visible principal. She has a very wonderful relationship with the students and makes a great effort to meet the needs and concerns of parents. If there is a problem she will address it and make all efforts to resolve it. She available more than any other principal I have had experience with and theres been 6 schools. Great Job! Excellent School!
Arroyo has had a much needed facelift. The school has been painted and the grounds cleaned up. With a new highly visible principal this year, things appear to be shaping up! Arroyo has been labeled Performing Plus!
Our experience with Arroyo was somewhat limited as we moved so we went to a new school this year, however my son's experience with Mrs. Grant (2nd grade) and the leadership of the principal were nothing less than outstanding. We were also very impressed with the class size.
The safety level here is a big concern. Gates are always open, visitors don't need to go through office to enter campus. Children are not well supervised. Campus is not well maintained, principal is distant. We left and found a better school.
I was not happy with this school at all. The teachers had too many students in their classes and I didn't care for the leadership of the school
I have three boys, all whom have attended Arroyo Elementary. Each year the programs offered, and the quality of education has gone downhill just a little bit further. This year has been the worst year that my children, and we as parents, have had. Some teachers are fantastic, but it doesn't make up for the lack of interest or professionalism the rest of the staff seems to exhibit. It isn't the worst school by far, but there is certainly room for improvement. I am disappointed that I've felt the need to search for other elementary schools, as I had hoped to send all of my boys to the same school, but at this point it would be a sacrifice to their educations to stay.
My two children have been in Arroyo school for two years now. The first year we loved it, This year has not been so great. The teachers are to picky on things and are as kids put it 'mean'!
My daughter has attended Arroyo for the last 3 years. The teacher bring expertise, professional and warmth to the school. We moved from a private school and I don't regret it for a moment. The school is very organized, which in turn keeps the parents updated on the educational information for their children
Both my son and daughter went to this school and we had very positive experiences. The teachers took time to give one-on-one time in developing my kid's skills, whether it was to improve a math grade or help them with a musical instrument.
This was the first year my child was in this school and I did not like it at all. We came from CA, and this school was far behind for my child, my child teacher is more intrested in teaching good manners than the curriculam. I don't think the children get challenged at all.
I moved my daughter to Arroyo from a charter school. She has thrived with the nurturance provided there. Her academics have gone straight up, she's happier, more playful and excited about learning. Words are inadequate to express my delight in Arroyo school.
I have been extremely happy with Arroyo. Both my children have attended there and love their teachers! They are both in Project Potential and both on the honor roll/princ. list. Thanks to the loving teachers.
