This school is good for you if you don't want to be challenged and not learn anything. If you actually want to learn something Do Not Go Here.

Great School!!!! I am one of the so called "teacher's pet". And just to let you know, i get A's because i work my butt off. i even come in on the weekends to work on the yearbook and newspaper. The students that have bad grades don't do anything! Obviously their grades reflect on how well they work during class time. She doesn't favor any classes or students. Our former english teacher that now teaches four new classes is doing a wonderful job! and she does, in fact, have degrees for all of them! On top of teaching these four new classes she is the soccer coach. Today is January 8th. Last night at 6 o'clock Globe Girls Soccer beat Miami 6-0 at Harbison field, i think she's doing a pretty good job. The Globe Boys Soccer team also won.The coaches are doing their best. You can't blame them. If players don't come to practice, or they don't even try during the games, It is definitely not the coaches fault. Our former english teacher does her best with the FOUR classes she has. It's a lot of work. A normal teacher has ONE subject to teach. I think she is doing a fantastic job. And if students need help preparing for college they need to go get it, it's not going to be handed to them.

This school has totally turned around for the better in just one short school year!

I am graduating ghs in a few days. Three of the past four years this place was not a school. Dr. Richard came in this year as our new principal and I am glad he did. He hired good teachers and he was fair and consistent with enforcing new school rules, I didn't like the changes of first, but after about a month or two everyone could see that the school was safer and more orderly. Our school was a joke but this years i learned that one good leader with a vision can change the whole outlook of an organization.

The short and dramatic positive turn around of Globe High School has been absolutely amazing. This is a story that should be covered by the national media. For so many years the scores and the academics of this school have been in decline. The building has been in decline, and student failure was acceptable. I am so pleased and impressed by what the new Principal, Dr. Richard has done! My kids never cared about the school and they were D or C students. Thsi year, they earn A's and B's and I see them studying at home and doing homework. When I ask them why they have changed they both told me it is because Dr. Richard and the teachers believe in them now and that they don't want to have to stay after school for mandatory tutoring. I am so happy with the new direction of Globe High School. I wish more people knew about this positove Cinderalla story!

Unbelievable what has happened at Globe HS under the leadership of Dr. Tim Richard! Dr. Richard and his assistant principal have turned that school around for the better. My kid is a senior, I have had 2 others go through GHS and I can tell you that the school has been a complete dump, probably one of the worst schools in the nation for about 15 years. There was never any communication, no emphasis on achievement or academics or discipline. The place was an unsafe carnival atmosphere with many poor teachers. Enter Dr. Richard. Now there is discipline, order, organization, structure, a positive and safe atmosphere, and the kids are learning and they are loving it. Too bad many of the board members and the business manager hate Dr. Richard and the success the school is having. Typical small town Globe mindset!

As a former teacher I have to say, in all honesty, that you would be hard pressed to find a better group of students, anywhere. Once they realize that you are trustworthy, which is difficult to do with these folks since they are so used to being betrayed, you will never find a more enthusiastic, funny, interesting and motivated group of folks to teach. It was an honor & I looked foreward to seeing them every day. Everything else is most likely going to lead to a continuous decline in the education of these great kids, except for those who graduate, despite the few well meaning teachers who will come and go, as is the culture of the place. There is no changing it, but a good teacher can create an oasis for them, albeit temporary. Give the students a chance to show you how intelligent they are and how much they want to learn & your time will go quickly & effortlessly with them. As for the rest, you're on your own.

well i went to globe high school from 2001-2005 and i loved that school it was a good one had i like the teachers its hard to believe that but i did anyways yeah i miss all of my old teachers they were cool and nice to me so yeah
Haha i love how mostly only juniors get bored and look up their school. anyways i too am a junior and i like globe high school quite a bit. It offers an average academic experience. for all the people who say they didnt learn its because they didnt try. u can learn if u care. the one amazing thing about this school is teachers like mr howell, ms katy, ms miller, mr montague, mr montgomery and senor johnston. the principals are alright. i think they care about their students if nothing else. Its small enough you know who everyone is can make a lot of friends. Its a nice school.

what can i say about globe high school? it's a fairly average school all around. the teachers (overall) are the only thing about this school that is actually above average. i'm a freshman at ghs and i can already tell that with the teachers i have this year, i'm going to be watched out for-both academically and in my personal life as well. i'm actually pretty relieved that some of them care about their students rather than them being just another annoying kid that they're probably never going to see again. academically, i think they could do a lot better. for honors classes, they only have about one teacher so if you don't like that one teacher, you're pretty much out of luck if you want to stay an honors student. that is the part that really bothers me.

I currently just finished my junior year here at Globe High School and overall I would say that this school is just ... ok. Maybe a little bit less than ok. The atmosphere is pretty nice and you just about make friends with everyone, even the teachers. However, academically I think the school needs to wisen up a bit, and challenge the students more.

I used to live in Globe, and went to Globe schools my whole life. A soon as i turned 15, i knew it was time to get out of there. I knew Globe wasnt doing very much for me, not with friends, or academically. Now living in Broken Arrow, OKlahoma I found it much better academically and i pretty much love it here. Overall I thought globe had a lot of growing up to do.

Sure, I thought it was fine when I was there--how would I know otherwise? But as I got out into the world I discovered that my education had been lacking considerably. There are exceptions, however...I had a few teachers that truly lit up my world and have influenced me ever since. Good teachers like that are hard to find, but I found 3 at Globe High School.

I'm currently a junior at Globe high, and i honestly believe that Globe High isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Its an easy place for students to make friends, and the teaching staff is actually pretty fair. (science and art teachers seem to be the best, however). Globe is a beautiful town that, like all towns, has a few 'bad' people in it that seem to get all of the recogniton. I've been in the mesa/Gilbert, AZ school district, and i've NEVER recieved the attention from teachers there that the globe teachers pay to your personal life, not just acedemic acheivement. A lot of the teachers genuinely CARE and try to make both of your lives better. But, like in life, you have to be respectful, and earn this caring. Its hard for even teachers to care about someone who doens't care about them.

I went to GHS, and I loved it. It wasn't the best academically, but it has the small town feel, that you can't get in a big city.
I moved to Globe two years ago from Cheyenne Wyoming and it was a shock. This is the worst school in the nation! There is not even one good thing about it! I would never recomend anyone to go to this school.

This school district has been going down hill for many years. I always considered myself a defender of the public school system, but this school and the Administration have soured my opinion. I hope that this school district will improve their performance, but I do not see that happening. I absolutely do not have one good thing to say about this school.

Im currently a junior at this school. I can tell you, it's small, poorly air conditioned, and full of tradtion. We have very low standardized test scores...so low that the teachers cant teach what they want. When I was a freshman, I had six different algebra teachers. Overall I love it here...even though I go stir crazy sometimes.

It has a nice small school feeling. Could be better academically.
