This was a wonderful place for my children. Both left school and attend ASU. The experience both athletically and academically was positive

the school is in no way any good. I don't know about all these others students saying it is great when it is not, the counselors do not care about the student's education, and they are just trying to become a 'college bound' school to make more money. This school is all about making money it is a joke.

It is looked upon as being bad, but honestly its alright if you are really there for learing Cesar is not a place to play around. Teens will be teens and stuff will happen but that doesnt make it a bad school.

CCHS is a great school. People may think its horrible but in reality its not.Yea before the school might have been horrible but in the last couple of years the staff there has tried there best to make the school better. Some students may think its getting tough but in reality its not. The staff is just trying to make everyone reach their full potential

Being a parent of an Advid student I come from a different angle. The school is comprised of mostly wild children with little patental envolment for the students. Most of the parents seem to rely on the school as a baby sitting center. The teachers are excellent. I use the parentlink often, and wish the teacheres would keep the site updated, it really helps, since we (parents) do not know what assignments the student has. My older son already graduated from Cesar two years ago, the school seems to have improved a little since then. The teachers of the regular classes should hold the parents more accountable for the students grades. The bathroom at the school are filthy, being a critical care registered nurse, I can just see the germs growing. The school needs more academic discipline. The teachers have the potential to push for that.

Being a new facility, its a great school as far as the building is concern. It's populated by students that don't really value their education. It has potential, but the value good education just isn't there.Plenty of good teachers, but majority of students are slsckers.Graduating class of 08,only 50 of 600 are destine for college. Well there it is ,think about it . good

Great school...which I'm attending. Nice teachers and students. Love it! And its so big, that you don't feel the 3,000 students going there.

Overall a nice campus. Very Crowded! Only 2 high schools are in Laveen. If anyone is new to Laveen or still has a choice to move here I wouldnt reccomend this area for good schools. But for folks that are here this is a a good and safe school

I was a former student and a graduate of the second graduating class since its opening. I was a student all four years and was involved with many school activities and functions. Since Chavez, I obtained my BAE degree from Arizona State University and now I am back as a teacher. I have seen the school grow academically and observed its overall state of being. Currently, with the higher student enrollment, their were some challenges but were overcome due to superb faculty and administration. It is in my professional opinion that this school will flourish as enrollment will be minimized due to a new highschool that will accommodate the current high enrollment situation. With reduced enrollments, the school will become even more safer and student/teacher ratios will improve. Overall, Chavez is a marvelous school that I highly recommend.

This school seemed really nice at first because of the newness of the school. The school is definetly overcrowded & the kids are rowdy. My kid got his P.E. clothes stolen from him which has never happend to me before & I have 2 Teenagers. The Principal & Vice principal do the very bare minimum when issues arise. I'm should have thought twice b4 enrolling my child into Cesar Chavez High School !

Hello, I attended cesar chavez high school and I really enjoyed it. I was involved in different activaties, including tennis, choir, national honor society, the french club and student government. I was part of the first class to graduate that attended the school for four years since it is a new school. I really miss chavez, the staff, and the students. If only I could go back in time...

HI, I used to go to Cesar Chavez High School. I went to the school when it first opened up. At that time, it was only freshmen and sophmore at the time. Now that the school has more students, I've seen and heard that the school is not safe after several incidents that happened last semester. Because of those incidents, I took my niece out of that school and goes to South Mountain. If you want better reports about the school, then I suggest you get more security and check on the students more often.

To date I am not pleased with the school. There is a lot of fighting and discord among the students. My daughter is not pleased with the overall teaching abilities or the lack of control some have in the classroom.
