Wigwam creek middle school is the best, I love it there and it has been in the news and in the news paper ,but for good reasons. It has high ratings for the aims test, and each year the school is improving.

Regular Barbeques. I would like to know when these barbeques are - never heard of one. the problem does not seem to be with one or two of the teachers. I have had problems with several of the teachers. Resource teachers are great. Counselor is great. Principal and many other teachers are less to be desired. never return emails, do not offer positive feedback to students. PE instructor - she is awesome.... she actually listens to the students.

Wigwam Creek is a great school. We have had a great experience with all the teachers and the administration. I am surprised at the comments about communication issues, we have always had good communication with the teachers and staff. As for the bbq's. They are always mentioned in the school newsletter and I saw it on the website. There was a great turnout.

Horrible school, my child has been struggeling yet not one teacher has called, emailed, wrote a note nothing. This is the third year at this school and I cant wait to move and get away from it. They all have the same programmed answer. Same excuses just a different grade level. If the school is so wonderful, why are there so many students that have to attend homework lab. That should say enough about the school right there. That many kids with F grades is awful ad they need to step it up!

Really I think the principal at this school was not very polite I tried to set up a metting with her one time to talk to her and she avoided my phone calls. I just had a simple question for her and she wouldnt talk to me so I had to be a little forceful and refuse to leave till she did. I agree with everyone else you never hear from the teachers not even when you send them little messages in your childs agenda it gets annoying. Im a parent that likes to be involved with my children and this school didnt let that happen.

I'm sorry to see people are unhappy with Wigwam. I teach there and I know how hard the staff works to make it a great school. If a parent is unhappy with a teacher or two, I don't think it is fair to take it out on the whole school. I've taught other places, and Wigwam by far is the best place I've been. The Principal truly cares and the teachers do their best.

I am an eighth grade student at Wigwam and I love the school. I have attended a few other schools and none of them have the activities, the great teachers, or the great principal we have at Wigwam. I enjoy going to school everyday because the staff makes learning fun and enjoyable. I am sorry to hear that some kids are not enjoying this school and they may be having problems with the discipline at the school or are not making a lot of friends. What I mean about this is that our school has a great discipline program and is tough for some kids to follow but is really good. I really enjoy going to wigwam creek and really believe that it is a wonderful school and is one of the best school to send a student to.

Not impressed with this school at all. Not one teacher returns emails. Not even the principal. Nothing is consistant with this school. Really second thinking having my youngest attend this school. Only person I heard back from at all this year is the counselor.

I wish the last parent would have explained why they said what they said. Both my daughters attend Wigwam Creek and they love this school. The teachers are great, the principle is awesome. I just cant say enough about this school.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
