Powell Junior High School

Powell Jr High is a great school with great academics and amazing teachers that are willing to help every student. I went there 8th grade and freshman year. I loved working with friends in the cafeteria.

Powell is a great school with alot of heart and spirit! Powell may not always have the best academics,but we have the best kids and the best spirit with the most pride! people come here as naive young children, and leave as strong well educated young adults. Thank you to all of the dedicated teachers and staff for never giving up on us, even through all the times we drove you crazy! We will always love, miss and respect this school no matter what! people make everlasting friendships here and its been a journey, since the day we started till the day it ends. We've all became a family, growing together and helping eachother along the way. Love U Guys! From the best Freshmens ever! Go patriots!

Powell is awesome. The teachers are wonderful. There aren't too many involved parents, and clubs aren't too great. But I felt safe and I really loved my year there.

I think this school does a good job of trying to meet the needs of this very diverse population.

Many classes offered in similar Jr. High are not offered here in 8th grade. It forced my daughter to take same classes twice. Poor curriculum. Getting my daughter out of there.

My daughter attended Powell Jr. High for 3/4 of a year. The teachers were all wonderful. She participated in sports, as well. The principal is new this school year (2004-2005) and it shows in her policies.

There is an obvious flaw in this rating. There is no way any Mesa school has 100% internet access. In order to be taken seriously you should really check the information the schools send to you.
