This school offers a well rounded educational experience. My child has teachers who care about him and our willing to go the extra mile to help in areas that he struggles. The school has a reading specialist that loves children and is incredible with my child. I think she is the diamond of the school!

Great school! I have referred many of my friends and family. The teachers are outstanding and you can tell they are there for the children. The school has Martial Arts, dance, computer lab, art and PE work right into their schedule. The administrator is also a great person and she really cares. I could not be happier. :)

I have two kids who have been here at the Learning Foundation since kindergarten. I love how much they are learning and are held accountable for their work and grades. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants a warm and friendly place where your children can succeed and have fun learning.

my son goes to this school if your child is doing well in school then you will love it .I love that this is a smalll school and all the staff knows your child by name and they are so friendly. But if you your child is struggling as mine is he then this is not the school for you.My son has been tested by a psychologist and that was only because I have been telling them there was a problem and they knew it too but would dismiss it by "oh boys are a little slower or he will grow out of it if he doesn't improve by so and so time we will test him NEVER DID THEY until I had him tested by a professional Psychologist and he is mildly Dyslexic and has an audotory processing issue and he needs extra help even with proof in paper they still won't help. They tested him with their psychologist and said he is fine and they will watch him and they will help him or test him again when they think is necessary this has been going on for almost 3 years.I am still looking for a new school which has been hard to find here in Az. From a frustrated parent

I love this school. The office Staff is awesome and they do a great job of making you feel right at home. The teachers really care about the kids and make sure that they are doing their work on a daily basis. They make sure they are prepared for AIMS and as well provide healthy lunches and breakfast.

Don't waste your time or your child's! The education and performing arts here are horrible! My child would bring their school work they did and I was amazed at all the errors the teacher missed. Like misspelling of the name writing numbers and letters backwards. When I confronted the teacher she would just make up an excuse and told me to correct it at home. The faculty are nice but when you present a problem you have they make excuses. I'm glad I took my child out and put her in a better school.

Surprised school is NOT rated higher. We went from "9/10' rated school which we disliked to Learning Foundation which we love. Mrs. Chandler (1st/2nd) grade is wonderful. My 2nd grader is challenged by the curriculum and I feel it is a very safe, friendly, social environment. The teacher and principal REALLY work with kids as individuals.

I had family that went to this school before my daughter was able to go to school. I knew this was the school for her. When she was of school age I enrolled her. She had gone there threw half of 2nd grade. Then we had to move out of state.... I loved this school. We will be returning to Arizona and she will be returning here. She is excited and so am I.

I couldn't be happier with the education my daughter has received this year at the Alta Mesa campus. The dedication and patience of the site director and the special education teacher has made such a difference. My daughter has improved a full year and a half in reading in just the last six months. The fact that the staff knows the name of every student in the school pleases me. I feel good about being able to call the school regarding my daughters school work and getting a response so quickly. They are always willing to help. My daughter loves the extra classes that are offered. She is in martial arts, ceramics and theatre. I do believe that these kind of classes in addition to the core classes help students become more well rounded people.

The best school my child ever attended. She is getting Straight A's..she worked hard in the tutoring class to bring up her grades so she could enjoy all electives next year! She wasn't failing, she just wants to go to Yale and maintain an A average for High School. This school is helping her to fulfill her dream!

Supportive and caring staff, who LISTEN! My daughter has excelled in this school. Her Kindergarten teacher is a joy to talk to and always has the kids best interest in mind and is always willing to take time out of her day to discuss your child and his/her progress with you. I can't say enough about LFAPA.

I have two children that attend this school and they absolutley love it. My daughter used to be so shy and she just opened up in the drama class. My son's grades improved greatly. He has gone from a C student to a B+/A student! He excels in math when in his last public school, that was the subject he needed the most work on. I am very pleased with this school's curriculum and performing arts program!

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. GreatSchools' profiles currently show AIMS mathematics, reading and writing results. 2013 AIMS grade 10 results represent on-track 10th graders for the 2013 test year. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
